Coal Loader Cafe
Great Cafe with beautiful views and good service. We booked a table half an hour before arriving there. We tried mushrooms stack, eggs on toast and vegetarian frittatas. Everything was really delicious.

Beautiful spot for a great meal (or coffee). Great views of the water & the gardens. Hubby had the mushroom stack but wasn’t keen on the kale - but loved the rest. We’ve eaten here lots & the food’s always good.

Coal Loader Cafe
Fantastic coffee to start a tour of the site and surrounds. Wonderful views and a joy that the site has been successfully re-developed. Dog-friendly cafe, wheel-chair accessible, good menu, indoor and outdoor seating options, easy car-parking, lots to see and do. Make sure you check out the gorgeous chooks that are just near the cafe.

Great little hidden away cafe! We bought some take away bacon and egg sandwiches from here so that we could have a bit of an impromptu picnic at the Balls Head reserve. Excellent sandwich and a great atmosphere. Will be back to eat in soon.

This little cafe is a hidden gem near the recently opened Coal Loader park. The food was nice and the service good.It can get busy (indicative of its popularity) and note that it can get chilly if you're outside (blankets provided).

I love that the cafe is looking after the environment. The cafe is in a beautiful location.I have been wondering what happened to the service during our last visit! We had to wait 1 1/2 hours for breakfast that was delivered at lunch time! This was not good and the manager or staff didn't explain why!

Lovely spot. Explore the Coal Loader Area and stop for a coffee or lunch. Sit out or in. Covid safe. Quick service. Good food. I had the salmon cakes and they were lovely. Other plate is calamari with a really nice salad.

ENJOY A SNACK AFTER WALKING AROUND THE SITEI visited The Coal Loader for the first time on a hot, sunny Saturday and am glad there was a café to relax in afterwards.I ordered the Coal Loader Big Breakfast and a café latté to restore my energy and, while it was okay, it had a school cafeteria feel to it.When I asked for sugar for my coffee (there's no tabletop supply) the waitron came back with one sachet... sigh! What has happened to customer service training?Anyway the meal was filling, the view was lovely and it was worth the stop. (Note: kitchen closes @ 2.30pm every day.)
