Braidwood Torpys' Eco Motel & historic Accommodation
Extremely comfortable and appealing. The host, Andy, was super friendly and helpful and it is only a short walk to restaurants, pubs and shops.Air conditioning, comfortable bed with soft sheets and good pillows all meant a good nights sleep. It was helpful having a microwave, plates and cutlery in the room. The bar fridge had a seperate freezer, which was big enough to hold ice cream and full bottles of drink.Everything was extremely clean, which is great in COVID times. The eco friendly nature of the place is also very appealing to me.I would thoroughly recommend a stay at Torpy’s Eco Hotel and we will definitely be back.

Awesome place to stay, the owners were really lovely and Extremely comfortable and appealing. The hosts was super friendly and helpful. Our motel rooms were simple, clean and had everything we needed. The room felt very warm and inviting. The whole property has beautiful views. would make a great break for a few days off work that's for sure and I will be back

Very friendly and accommodating. Andrew has gone to many lengths to make this motel very comfortable (especially the beds) as well as being very eco friendly. The fire pit beside the beautiful little creek (where platypuses live) was a bonus and fun way to spend a few hours star gazing and platypus spotting. Braidwood is a lovely place to visit.

Extremely disappointing. Not as clean as it should have been. It felt grungy. I had to sweep the floor on arrival. The weather turned cold and I could not turn on the aircon and the owners were away so unable to fix the issue. I would never go back not recommend it.

Friendly, helpful owner with well presented rooms that are simply yet aesthetic. It's a beautiful place, nice and relaxing, comforting. There are also larger, family oriented rooms for larger groups.

It lacked privacy, as the grounds keeper kept knocking on our door rather than calling my number we gave him.I was disappointed with having to pay $15 to wash my own clothes and for anyone extra that wanted to shower it was $10.

Awesome place to stay, the owners were really lovely and I was made to feel at home. Easy access parking and a lovely, cosy room with a very comfortable bed. I really enjoyed staying there, the room was spotless, neat and tidy.Thank you for having Rosie and myself, and especially as a last minute booking. If anyone is looking for a reasonably priced place to stay in Braidwood - make sure you stay at Torpys! I will definitely be staying again!!

We had a wonderful time on our girls weekend, we stayed in the apartment which we were aware was a work in progress but was priced accordingly.The central location, scenic outlook and historic ambience was just what we needed.The hospitality and local knowledge of the owner was beyond compare and we enjoyed learning about the history and eco workings they have in place and are continuing to work on.We were all very impressed with the covid safe measures they have in place and are still putting in place.Be sure to go down to the viewing platform at the creek to look for the platypus!

We had a lovely couple of nights. We didn't stay in the homestead but it looked lovely. Our motel rooms were simple, clean and had everything we needed. The room felt very warm and inviting. The whole property has beautiful views and the hosts could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Thank you for a lovely weekend and we will be staying again whenever we are anywhere near Braidwood.

Stayed here for a week over New Years and the accomodation was so cool, the owners are beautiful and so accomodating we didn’t need to ask for anything the whole stay. The rooms are so cosy and gorgeously heritage, a classic country farmhouse experience! And awesome location just a short stroll to all the shops and pubs and cafes in Braidwood! We will definitely be back again!
