Abigail worked on my first house- a Federation semi in Glebe. She transformed it from an unloved, dingy cramped house with a very badly done and impractical kitchen and bathroom/Laundry to a light and airy sanctuary. Her eye for and use of colour was particularly impressive.The kitchen was a revelation .I had more usable prep space and storage than in subsequent kitchens twice the size. Abigail brings all her real-life practical experience of cooking and running a home to inform her designs. Particularly inspired was the corner unit .It provided a display space and transformed what would have been a really ugly view of the end of kitchen cupboards from the living room into a practical high-end feature.In addition Abigail was able to sensitively restore and adapt the period features of the house which was a key selling point. With her expert heritage knowledge and familiarity with local Council process, she also drew up plans for a second storey addition which I'm sure helped me achieve a very favourable selling result.I would have no hesitation in recommending Abigail Larkin Architects for your project

We recently collaborated with Abigail on our renovation project, including what felt like significant house changes and plans for a new deck (exciting!). Abigail provided us with peace of mind and excellent service throughout our project (which is just about to start - woo hoo!). With her helpful attitude and effective communication, she proved to be a reliable professional to work with and a great source of support (I freaked out at times!).Her friendly and approachable demeanour from the beginning fostered a comfortable working relationship. She was open to discussions and actively listened to my ideas and preferences. Her ability to maintain good communication in person and over the phone ensured that any questions or concerns I had were promptly addressed. We were most grateful for her taking all the council planning and documentation aspects off our hands.One notable aspect of their work was her capacity to connect with various individuals and resources (Engineers of all sorts, council, builders, kitchen suppliers - you name it!).
