Carter Lovett have always been a favourite with it’s absolutely delicious food and lovely staff. The service was incredible fast given how busy it was today. But the amount of people crammed into that tiny space was just to much noise to hear yourself think. We had to scream across the table to hear each other and this made it slightly less enjoyable. Great place overall.

Good service and food was good, busy place but didn't have to wait long for the meal. Staff are also good. Photos are the Cumberland sausage, and the sardines on toast.Both very tasty.

I give five stars for places I would return to and recommend to others. Carter Lovett is my neighbourhood cafe and we're lucky to have such a great one. Their long black is one of my favourites in town (alongside Market Lane) and the quality of their food is top notch. The portions are a little big but who would complain right? Service is attentive and quick, and I pretty much always see the same employees, which shows you that the owner and management are doing something right.

Been to a lot of brunch cafes around the area, but this place would have to be the premier brunch joint at Bayside IMHO. Great food and great service. Only slight negative is that it can get a little noisy inside.

Visited a couple of weeks ago with my family for brunch. The cafe was pumping and we were lucky enough to be seated quickly. Service was friendly and the food was delightful. Everything was fresh and the portions were generous. Coffees were fantastic. Toilet available out the back. Street parking available but timed.

The staff are so lovely! What a great place! the food options are great. Some healthy options and classic breakfast options like pancakes. (Came in for pancakes but got the healthy option because it looked so good!)Coffee comes out fast. I could see this place would get really busy, and they look like they have plenty of staff for that. What a credit to the area.

Fun & friendly. A local gem, with extremely nice staff, great bustling atmosphere in a cosy and modern decor, and food above your normal cafe. The chocolate croissant has actual Nutella in it!

Went to Carter Lovett for brunch this morning and given its popularity there was a wait but staff were super friendly and got us in as soon as possible. We really appreciated the hospitality in our interactions, everyone was absolutely lovely. The food was yummy too and arrived quite swiftly. I had the apple porridge and hubs had a lamb salad which we both enjoyed. We will definitely be back

Should Try - Go for the Moreton Bay Bug Fettuccine and the Cumberland sausage with chilli fried eggs. The almond cake is moist without being too sweet. Does get busy for brunch, but service is quick once seated.

Love Carter Lovett! The vibe, the staff, the food, all of it!Another cafe which doesn’t have the standard brunch menu and aren’t scared air trying new things. My friend had the Cumberland Sausage with came with a Bloody Mary! And I had baked beans with mozzarella, and added a Bloody Mary as I had drink envy!The music in the cafe was amazing, and was a whole vibe! The staff was amazing and so lovely. And not to mention that it’s dog friendly.The space it’s self is big and has plenty of outside space with heaters. When I was paying I noticed they had some amazing looking pastries , next time I go back I’ll try them! Oh and they are now also open for dinner so I’ll definitely be back to try that!
