Whale Watching Platform
Lovely, free, easy walk through native bushland. You get closer to the ocean compared to the lighthouse. We were there in July at dusk. Magnificent sunset but no whales sighted.

Definitely worth the walk and the whole trip to the lighthouse. It's breathtaking whether you see whales or not

Well-signed paths to the Lookout.The timber walkways and lookout platform have recently been maintained with evidence of various deck planks and stair treads being replaced.However, the paths are heavily overgrown and the bushes need trimming back.

Great views from the platform across the Indian Ocean towards Smith's beach and beyond. Whales might be spotted between June to November usually. Takes about 30 to 40minutes to walk and return. Other longer walking trials as options to. Make sure you bring your water and sunscreen during the warmer months!

This is an amazing view over the Indian Ocean and well worth the walk from the lighthouse carpark.

Whale Watching Platform
Beautifully built platform looking out over the magnificent Indian Ocean. The day we were there in early September, we saw dozens of whales breaching. Just beautiful and well worth the walk out there
