BEST HAIRCUT OF MY LIFE.Ricky is the owner, he has been in the hairdressing business since 1988!After having a terrible experience with ‘Perfect Hairdressing’ down the road, where they ruined my hair, AKA avoid at all costs.I came in and he was a SO NICE and very understanding, he made me feel comfortable and fixed my hair and it is PERFECTION.You can tell the way he talks, uses his tools and his pride in studying to become the best hairdresser possible. Honestly, I will recommend Blue Star to everyone that I know now.Just an absolutely great experience. Thank you Ricky, I wish more people knew about you!

Had a wonderful experience with Wennesia. She was very thorough and had a lot of attention to detail. She was also very personable and lovely to chat with.

Very disappointed. The male hairdresser did not listen to my instructions when I went on Saturday. I saved my hair to a certain length (since I cut it wrongly in the previous cut). However, he did not listen to my instruction and made the same mistake with my hair length again! Now I have to wait until the next time my hair can regrow to cut in a way I like. The hairdresser even dropped scissors while cutting! The excellent hairdresser I wanted to be had already left, and she was not there when I cut. Generally, too dominant and do not listen to what the customer wanted to cut.

I am extremely surprise with the patience and service I received from Jackie. I spent almost 5.5 hours and very happy with the outcome. Hair straightening was done with so much care and professionalism.

Not recommended for curl permsI had visited to this dresser shop 3 days ago.I gave very clear point of curl perm which i wish on my belly length long hair.The hair dresser Ricky said he understood all my concerns and i sat there 5 hours then left my hair shoulder length short and not curly at least, just made a messy cut like i did it by my self at home.I am really disappointed his service as he did not show any apologies as he made different result and he urged to charge me on long hair perm fee after he made my hair almost shoulder length even I have told him not to cut my hair too short, he still cut my hair awful. NEVER COME BACK!The photo shows the cut and curl perm settled on my hair when i got home.

NO RECOMMENDED.Made a booking and get my hair cut, finished in 13mins with a Asian lady. Charged a good $45.00.The style is not ideal. I asked to thin my hair but she declined. I also found out there was one tangle of my hair that is way longer than the others. THAT IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL by doing her job like this.She was also so in rush because too many people waiting so she wanna finish quicker to get more head count.Idk what’s the point of make booking.

I had been coming to Blue Star since I was 16 when the team from Kingsford were still in Chinatown and switched to Kingsford when the team moved over. One big thank you to Blue Star Kingsford for the service and kindness over the decades (literally)! All the best for the future.

Highly recommend Ricky & team's professional hair styling. You get better service than ordinary barber shop in shopping centers etc...I have been to many different hair styling places and I keep on coming back to Blue Star due to the better service and pricing.This place has also been around for years so I find they are much more skilled at creating the best hair styling for any occasion.

I have been visiting Blue Star Hair Design for about 4 years now and am very happy with the service. I used to struggle finding a good barber for men's haircuts because my hair is coarse asian hair but Ricky and his team are great and know how to handle it.I usually request Ricky to do my hair and Wennesia is very good as well. Both are experienced and I would highly recommend either of them for men's haircuts. I typically get a wash, haircut, and rinse and find that the price is good for the time spent.If you are worried about rushing your haircut, feel free to call up and request a time which is not busy. I found this gives the most relaxing experience with attention to detail for your hair.
