Edge on Beaches Resort

Right from booking until leaving Gary was an amazing host. Started with a WELCOME call and finished with on the door service to say GOODBYE TRAVEL SAFE. I was upgraded from a 1 to a 2 bedroom immaculate villa on arrival - Bliss with 4 amazing pools - close to beach - clean luxurious spacious all the facilities you could wish for.I am Definitely coming back.Thankyou Gary you are Professional + welcoming - a credit to you + staff.Kate

I think the most important part was the greeting when we arrived. We received a courtesy call from Garry not long after leaving home. After giving a ETA and turning up on the dot was a bonus especially with roadworks on the way. The welcome we received from Garry was the best. He knew who we were as we arrived. Garry... thank you so much for your welcoming. Everything here is more than what we thought it would be. We will definitely be looking to coming back here. I will add photos at the end of our stay.

The room was awesome but the manager Gary was an a***hole, he watches us like a hawk as if we are doing something wrong. He talks very arrogantly to all my family members as if we owe him something. its just a shame that people who run the place are the ones letting the place down

Dirty, dingy, dated and lots of very basic things weren’t in working order. No/blown light bulbs in lamps, dripping taps, oven element hanging down touching top shelf of oven, only two of four stove top elements working, screens not covering windows properly (mozzies etc. getting in), very poorly equipped kitchen, every time kitchen tap was turned on the pressure was so strong that water went all over everything, shower head in main bathroom was covered in build up causing water to spray everywhere, sticky couch, mouldy blinds, fan in second bedroom not working (switch was turned on when we arrived and very hot, but fan not spinning), all the glasses had fingerprints and looked unclean… I could go on.I wasn’t expecting too much for the price, but was really disappointed with what we got. Definitely not 4.5 stars unfortunately.

I booked a one bedroom with pool side view. As I booked it ,it stated with bath. I had 4 days off being a community care support worker and our 20th anniversary. I thought it would be nice to have a break and relax in a bath reading a book and having a look around 1770. I was really excited to get away. When we arrived. I walked into my room ,I had a view of a cabin and no bath. I got really upset. I contacted the manager he came and seen me. He stated no one bedroom s have a bath. I was just crying. He changed us to a poolside view. And stated that i had booked through booking.com. I stated no I cancelled that and contacted you guys at the office to book the accommodation . But there was no bath. I asked how much a room with a bath in it was an extra 300 dollars for 4 nights. My mental health went down real quick. I knew I booked the room with a bath ,otherwise I would have booked somewhere else. I was such a mess . Plus it was raining the 4 days. When I got home and calmed down I looked up the accommodation and the one I had booked and yes there it is 1 bedroom pool side apartment with bath. I emailed the manager to point out that they advertised a bath in all the one bedroom s. So still to today 5 days later,no word from management. $780 for a room that I didn't want. So please if you think your going to get a bath that is advertised with one bedroom apartment. Think twice before you book it. I only paid 800 at the Q1 on the gold coast for 4 nights accommodation with 2 rooms a spa bath and a beautiful view on 51 floor.

Whilst our two bedroom villas had minor issues (oven door about to fall off in one unit, air-conditioning not working in the bedrooms in another villa) overall, the accommodation was fair. Slightly expensive compared to other similar accommodation, but we were comfortable enough and they were very clean. The pool area is beautiful, and hats off to Gary who worked hard to sort our issues out. The location was great.

A rude office lady was told I owed more money because I booked through booking .com she hated booking .com. over priced for the pool villa outdoor chairs ripped and I got bed bugs. Never go there again or recommend this place. Definitely not worth $230 a night

Nice place to stay, well setup and well looked after.

Gary literally behaves like a hawk! He was very impolite implying that we were gonna be “dodgy.” This made us feel very uncomfortable and disrespected. Not to mention there were a few issues in the rooms; blown bulbs, dust everywhere, all the dishes needed to be cleaned before use and there was also dead insects. The pool is advertised to be heated - wasn’t. And 3/3 gas bottles were empty in the community bbq area so we had to cook in the room.
