Cousins Electrics

Quality of workmanship very poor I would not recommend them, we built a house with Homegroup WA and Cousins did the electrical work and we are still having trouble to get electrical work finished.James from Aveley

TERRIBLE COUSINS ELECTRICS SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!Cousins Electrics is terrible! They installed everything electric in my house. The Edison screw light fittings are very loose! 1 of them just broke like that! 2 Halogen fittings don't even work anymore. And a HPM light switch was just painted around with very loose screws, it falls out! I am extremely disappointed in Cousins electrics! Worst electrician ever!

Unfortunately our experience was a bad one. We were given the phone number for Cousins Electrics as an out of hours emergency contact by our builder - HomeGroup WA. Four weeks after moving into our new house, we needed them and they just didn't turn up and when we asked when we could expect them, they said they would be out to help us the next day instead. They didn't turn up the next day either and haven't returned our calls, despite their voicemail message saying Wasim would call us back. We ended up having to use another electrician after having no lights for 24 hours. Would not recommend at all. Highly unreliable.

They were engaged thru the builder. If I just had a power, they were kicked of my house straight away. They damaged external brick walls as if there were installing GPOs. But it was an outside lighting. Below is the way they install mounting boxes. They were asked to provide 6 ethernet outlets. None of them worked.

Very poor craftsmanship avoid at all cost.Brand new home build and as we have changed things we find ALL of our light fittings are fitted so bad that if you bump them with your hand they fall out of the ceiling. junction boxes in the ceiling were just laying in the insulation padding as they fell off the timber beams. all of the BRAND NEW fixtures have a mix of screws fitting them to the walls as if someone just grabbed scrap they had lying in the shed to fit them with. I would consider going to a day care centre and offer a day trip of arts and crafts at your house for the toddlers and have 3 year olds fit your electrics before using cousins electrical.Post review edit:We found that they ran a screw from a outside light through the wiring. To stop this tripping the circuit breaker they just disconnected the light from the system leaving it shorted out at the fixture.""

Efficient service through our builder, very good communication before attendance but lacked detail in a follow up call to reconnect power leaving us without power for a few days. Wiring diagram requested was not to the detail I needed either, I had to carry out point to point testing myself on data connections.
