Barossa Weintal Hotel

The room was beautiful and clean, loved the deep spa bath and the gorgeous bathroom. The bed was large and comfortable and the ensuite bathroom was lovely, modern and clean.We had breakfast there too which was tasty and great value and the staff at the restaurant and at check in were really helpful and friendly.

I have just checked into the Barossa Weintal Resort for one night, and I would like to share my initial impressions. The hotel is situated in the beautiful Barossa region, and its location serves as an ideal starting point for exploring the surroundings.However, what I want to highlight is the professionalism of the General Manager, Michael Krüger. During my stay, I encountered his warmth and hospitality, which exceeded all my expectations. I travel extensively throughout Australia, but I have never come across such a level of attentiveness and care for guests. I'm confident that many customers return to this hotel and choose it solely because of such a welcoming reception.Although my stay here is only for one night, I have already appreciated the comfort of the room and the amenities provided by the hotel. The room had everything necessary for a comfortable stay, and I felt at home. The ambiance of the hotel is also very pleasant, and the staff members were attentive and responsive.I gladly recommend the Barossa Weintal Resort to those planning to visit this region. The location, comfortable rooms, and, of course, the high professionalism of the General Manager make it an ideal choice for accommodation while exploring the Barossa. I hope to return here in the future.

We went here for breakfast over Easter and was the worst food and experience I have had this trip.I ordered a basic bacon and egg roll and was cold, egg was not cooked properly.My wife had eggs Benedict, again everything was cold and gooey eggs.I kindly told the waiter and couldn’t care less.

Amazed at the quality of the room and bed for the price. Can’t fault anything. Staff went above and beyond and the breakfast is great value to add to the stay. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Great clean refurbished room. Breakfast was included and the coffee was so good. Located not waking distance from main part of Tanunda, so book transport in advanced if drinking. Staff were great on front desk. Rooms tidied and topped up each day. 'All you need in room facilities'

Great location for this hotel. Check in was fast and smooth. Reception staff were very nice and friendly. We picked this hotel as you can hire bikes for half a day or full day to ride the Barossa Wine trails. We didn't try restaurant as was closed our first night being a Tuesday, but there were options for dinner in Taundra.The only downfall for us, was that our room was not serviced. I am not sure why but we had come back from riding all day and it would have been nice to have clean towels and restocked tea/coffee.Angela from NZ

Good stay marred by the fact we couldn't get a meal at 7:45 on a Thursday night despite spending several hundred dollars at the bar! Very disappointing as a small group of us could not get food given the late notice despite restaurant hours (and room service) being advertised until 9:30pm.

I booked a 3 night stay Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights to have some quiet alone time. The room was lovely & comfortable. However there was non stop noise from the people above, stomping, door slamming and trucks coming and reversing in the mornings etc and my stay was far from quiet. I ended up leaving a whole night early because of all the disturbances and noise. I was also disappointed to find out the restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. It would have been good to know this before booking so I could have made other arrangements or booked somewhere else to stay that offered room service. Given the cost I am disappointed. The room was also not the cleanest, there was dust on the coffee table and all over the glasses/mugs. I don't think I'd stay there again.

We absolutely loved our experience at Barossa Weintal Hotel. The location was amazing, with so many amenities and wineries walking distance from the hotel. If driving, you can get to most places in the Barossa Valley in under 15 minutes, and downtown Tanunda in only 2 minutes. The rooms were renovated and felt fresh and new. The staff were super friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant stay. We had our dog with us, and she even got a welcome pack of treats, and water and food bowls with a dog bed and dog blanket, both of which were clean. We sadly didn’t get our room cleaned, but this was because the weather was too hot for us to take our dog out for long enough for them to turn it around - so it was our choice! Housekeeping did check in with us, and we were the ones who opted not to have a clean. But they made sure we had enough toilet paper and fresh towels when we needed them. We would gladly return here and stay every time we come to the Barossa in the future. The price point was spot on for what we were expecting and to be honest the quality surpassed our expectations!

Hands down the worst service we have ever received from a hotel. The breakfast was disgusting - overcooked slop. When we asked for it to be cooked again we were told ‘that’s the Barossa Breakfast’. When our replacement dishes arrived it was clearly obvious the chef had spat on our food. Complained to management who didn’t care one bit. Avoid this disgusting venue at all costs!
