Mai Tardi Gelato
purchased il classico mai tardi custard and mascapone with cherry and crunchy choco 400ml. for the average margaret river resident, it wasnt cheap at around $13-$15; however, this product wasn't short on taste sensation and creamy luscious texture with generous plops of cherry syrup rating this as one of the best icecreams i've ever eaten. sadly upon the second round of purchasing the milk choco had turned to dark choco which wasn't as lush. also the cherry droppings weren't as voluptuous. the only star missing (and similarly for most australian-made food products) the use of unnecessary manmade chemicals (none of the ingredients of which i'd ever seen before) made it an item i would probably avoid. having said that i did repeat eat and have recommended this product. but.... last weekend i asked a friend to go purchase me the il classico and i got pistacchio and almond which weren't very enticing flavours at all. subsequently i purchased the nero flavour (choc/cafe) and this didn't suit my gut. i'll stick strictly to the il classico custard/mascarpone gelato if further purchases are made. thanks for this.
