Surrey Hills Child Care Centre

After trying other childcares, I found childcare staffs’ characters, attitudes, quality of capabilities and professionalizing are the most important elements to define if this childcare centre is right choice for you to make and that you can trust to leave your children with. Before joining Surry Hill Childcare Centre, my daughter was in another childcare centre, she started alright but then slowly and slowly refuses to go there then finally she just totally hated that place. I didn’t know what happen to her at that centre, I tried to investigate but nothing come back. Then I found Surrey Hills Childcare Centre (it closes to where I work), I didn’t had choice initially and was only had a little hope because we failed at the other place. But after one week, I saw my daughter has slowly put her smile face back when I pick her up, and after 1-2 month/s she remembers all other kids’ name in her class and also all the teachers’ names. She enjoys staying with them, she even asks me to send her to childcare over the weekend because she wants to play with her friends and teachers. Surrey Hills Child care staffs have the most amazing staffs I have ever meet, their staff turn-over is very low, lots of employees have been worked there many years, everyone is so nice, friendly, always has big smile on their faces, the centre is also very flexible and they try to work with you and your family as much as they can, they help every child and look after everyone carefully especially those new joined child at the difficult beginning. We feel like a big family. I really can’t express enough here otherwise I will like writing an essay. All I want to say to Surrey Hills Childcare Centre is, ‘Thank you! Thank you! And thank you! To Anna and to all lovely staff members! You made my life, my family with two young kids a much easier than I can never image. You are the champion! ’.

Both my kids attended here, the girls are lovely, attentive and looks after them so well. Can only say good things :)

We moved to Melbourne from London in late 2013 and found it impossible to find any childcare for my 1 year old daughter when I started work.Luckily I was able to get a place at Surrey Hills. Anne the Co-ordinator was friendly as were all the staff, our little girl bonded really well with a couple of the staff there. It is nice and close to the train station which is very convenient when we only had one car.The only complaint I would have about the centre, is that in the morning the bigger children all play in one room with the babies until other staff arrive - this sometimes put smaller children at risk of being in harms way from blocks or older kids rushing around. Otherwise the staff were very caring and helpful and had a lovely outdoor play area where our daughter enjoyed playing.Overall the team were caring and the centre was a good first starting point for childcare for us in Melbourne.

Zara has blossomed since attending this daycare. Anne spent time with Zara one on one and she has absolutely loved it. The girls are all so warm and caring and this kids all seem so happy

Avoid it - Standards are dropping - I used this place for my 3 kids, first two were great, but as years go by, staff change. Very unhappy with level of care for 3rd child. Would come home VERY HUNGRY, with NAPPY RASH . i could tell he was not being fed properly, by his mood, the lack of poo and the amount of food he would eat after being collected from there.I asked nicely for them to use cream on the nappy rash - and did a surprise visit next day to check. My little boy was very unhappy, in obvious discomfort - probably from the nappy rash. Yes - they said - we are putting the cream on the rash. So I did what they did not expect. I checked the nappy - NO CREAM. Spoke to Ann, who initially suggested she had seen cream being put on my little boy, but when I advised her that another staff member had seen and agreed with me - there was no cream on - she became less friendly. I left it with Ann - and she was going to look into it and get back to me the next day, as I was a bit unhappy about being lied to. So later that day, Ann Kicked us out - without warning, leaving us without an opportunity to organize alternative childcare,and both parents work - and we can't afford to miss the day....- Her explanation apparently was - because we didn't trust her...IMHO - Worse than Dodgy Dodgy Dodgy.....Nasty too...

To any Parent looking for a friendly, caring and professional environment for their kids I would highly recommend Surry hills childcare. The Staff truly feel like part of the family, they take a personal and professional interest in the kids and their development.My kids loved going there over the last few years and looked forward to going each day.Thank you to everyone at Surry hills childcare for looking after the kids we wish you all the best for the next 40 years.Jacques & Family

My 4 girls went to the Surrey hills childcare. It was a great experience, the staff are really caring and we really liked that the staff turnover is really low, on over 2 years only one staff member has left. Thanks Anne and the team for all your work with the girls, they will miss you !
