Lovely cottages, but can get a little chilly on cold days. A little treasure hunt to reception but in the end we found it, on the caravan park. The rooms were clean, but we found the room with the doors open. Great location next to a beautiful creek, park and playground!

Be aware! Fee is not refunded if you cancel. Read everything carefully. We had a medical emergency that caused us to cancel our booking a week before it was due. Will not be recommending this place. We are pensioners and every penny counts.

Beautifully restored historic rooms with comfortable bedding and a reasonably good kitchen.Unfortunately, I was bitten alive by bedbugs all night. Took me a while to figure out what was happening, but I got out of there once I did. I now have the very lengthy job of washing and sterilising everything I took to ensure it doesn't get into my own home. Thank god it was on the way home, otherwise, it would've totally ruined the trip. Approximately 150 extremely itchy welts all over my body. Will never go back. There was no response from the proprietor when messaged regarding the problems. The hot water in the shower was almost non-existent, even when you only used the hot water tap. The hot water out of the kitchen tap could barely be described as warm either.Rooms were cold in April, which would be lovely if it were summer. It also needs electric blankets and better lighting. There needs to be better communication at the time of booking as to where the reception is and how to access the WiFi.It's definitely not good value or even an acceptable experience.

I loved staying at the cottage. They were great value for money and could easily accomodate two families or a big group of friends. The cottages have aircon in two areas and the host put the a/c on for us prior to our check in which was very appreciated as it was a 40degree day when we arrived. The cottage has everything you need for a short stay including towels and toiletries, cooking facilities (an electric hot plate) and equipment. They provide tea, milk and coffee too. We loved the location as it is walking distance to the historic town.

Rooms were lovely and in a great location. Everything you need. Ive stayed at the cottages for years and years. Back in the day we could have a fire but they've all been sealed. The problem now is the heating. The place is freezing even with the little wall heater on. There is a draft in every room. My 3 years old son left with head cold. Going to the bathroom feels like you are outside in the cold. You lost another star as quoted $300 for two nights and then told it was $350 for two night. Customer service needs improvement... Lovely town but without the Antique fair and the Back sheep restaurant gone, the freezing room wasn't worth the price.

What a pleasant surprise to arrive here after a day on the road in the middle of winter. Very large cottage with separate kitchen, lounge and bedroom. The cottages have been tastefully refurbished and have everything you need for a night stay or longer. Just a few minutes walk into town. Highly recommended.

Lovely little cottages, pity the AC is in the living space not the bedroom, challenging to cool down the sleeping space.Nice comfortably beds, clean bathroom and dog friendly.Easy walking access to the main strip of town across the bridge

Lovely old cottages. Very clean and well equipped. Large rooms and nice warm bed. Plenty of hot water in the showers. Reverse cycle A/C for heating and cooling although it struggled to warm the stone flooring and walls it still left the rooms cozy but you had to leave it on while you were out. You can no longer have an open fire (safety reasons no doubt) and the addition of an electric look-alike fireplace would complete the setting. The stone floors are cold so leaving socks on or slippers helps. The complex has a communal laundry which was more than adequate and although the complex was busy we didn't have any trouble getting access. The cottages are centred in easy walk to many of the local attractions and shops. We could have stayed longer.
