Me Wah Restaurant
One of the best Cantonese Style Restaurant in Australia, even when compared to bigger capital cities like Sydney. It’s pricier than your average Chinese restaurant. Quality of food served is top notch. Nice environment and very attentive staff.Booking essential, especially on weekends. Dim Sum on Sundays is a lovely experience because they have reintroduced trolley service - where various dim sum dishes are brought to you on trolley for you to see and order if it catches your fancy.

Dumplings are good and fresh. Worth the eat.Braised chicken feet is succulent and tender..Hor fun (cooked with sauce) is not so great. Should have tried the dry fry version to get the wok hei.

Finally made it down for yumcha. Great service as always. Har gau and all the steamed dumplings were superb. Pork ribs has nice and meaty. Not sure about the speciality prawn noodle rolls, they've deepfried the inside layer for some crispiness, I think I prefer the classic here. Chicken feet was over sauced. Vegetarians a well catered for, e-fu noodles were great and mushroom dumpling was excellent.

Nice Cantonese restaurant for both yumcha lunch and dinenr in Hobart. Worth a try while in town.

The food is good, the staff was amazing, Sam, Stephen, Krystal, and MarkSome of the cocktail recommendation were good especially the good (We don't speak Mandarin - was one)And then the food was good the frief rice, the mushrooms, the scallops and the dumpling.Finished off with the peanut parfait and the mango sorbet ... The peanut parfait was amazing

Best dimsum in town!The price is higher than average but worth to have! They have the dimsum trolley service where you can choose different dishes.Recommended for family gathering where you can share the dish (as each dish is quite large) and you need to ensure to book the table before as seats are limited.We took around 8-10 dishes and it way too full for 2.Will come back!

I am thoroughly impressed, this was an amazing yum cha experience, not in the classic way, but there was delicious food!Not even a forgotten dish could mark this place down. Staff were very attentive and detail orientated, from bag holders, to helping us adjust our little one, it was fantastic. Not overbearing or hanging over you either.Menu wise, for lunch, it was extensive and unique. Some great seafood options and twists on classics. We will need to consider coming back for dinner. There were dumplings and dim sums, baked tarts and roast duck too. The dim sums were full of meat and not just filler vegetables, worth every dollar.Parking is a little hard but we were able to find one and it wasn’t too busy during the midweek. I imagine it would be a lot busier on the weekend. No high chairs but that didn’t bother us.

Looks unassuming from outside but this is a fantastic first class Chinese restaurant. We enjoyed the signature banquet for lunch. It was $195 per head, but the quality ingredients and fine dining service mean the price is actually very good value. The creativity evident in the dishes which had a modern twist on some Chinese classics. The wine and cocktail list is also well curated.By far the best Chinese restaurant in Hobart, possibly one of the best in Australia.
