Centennial Park
There are some absolutely beautiful gardens and lovely green open spaces, good rules such as a one way road allows good traffic flow and many follow the 30 km speed limit which is very sensible with so many families opting to use bikes or hire pedal cars. The bullet shaped cafe serves beautiful Coffee, little cakes, Smithies, icecream and more substantial sandwiches and is well positioned near a shaded pavilion designed and built in the late 1800's by one of Australia's leading architects. There was an interesting path that wraps about the waterway, a lake that has a really clever sculpture made from felled trees and metal that moved with the breeze. It is articulated with a dream time acknowledgement that is very educational. The downside was that, not all the paths are up-kept well and certainly not all wheelchair or pram accessible, but there are walking tracks, horse tracks, and a road. It's a truly unique green space. The rose garden needed some love but to be fair it is Summer. The statues, sunrise" and "sunset" that were relocated from the museum are a little slice of history and are positioned around the two lakes that were full of eels

Well maintained parklands close to the CBD, perfect for playing with the dogs or taking a ride on their bikes for hire. They have some informative signs about the native tucker and plants relating to how they have been used by Indigenous Australians. They also have a massive flying fox colony nestled in amongst some maleluecas which was so cool to see. I was a bit surprised to see how well maintained it is but to have signs around warning of polluted water and seeing a bloom of blue-green algae in the lake. Why is a really well kept area being polluted into?

One nice parklands around the city. Good for walking through, horsing around, skating, bike riding, running, rollerskating. Whatever is your poison this park will get you covered. I think they also cater for children. Also, there are Jesus birds around. You will see fruit bats - flying foxes, weird geese, etc. It is hard to find snakes. I have tried for years to spot one here. No success...

Centennial Park is a park for all ages and for all seasons serving a large population in Sydney and surrounding suburbs. It is an oasis for people to walk, jog, ride a bike, roller-blade, do Tai Chi and Yoga, host an outdoor get-together/party, for school groups to run their sports activities, ride a horse, for children to learn about nature, or just simply sit, relax and take in some fresh air. In the centre of the park, there is a coffee shop and a good-looking restaurant serving breakfast and lunch till 3:00 pm. It is also a venue for special occasions. I love this park which is well-maintained and serves such a multitude purposes. It opens from dawn till dusk and the entrance is free.

Beautiful park. You must go on the morning to have all day to visit it. There are small parks in the big one where you can find Chinese fishs, bats and even horses ! It is a great place to do some jogging or even to walk around. I was a bit surprised at first when I saw bats but during the day there is no problem with them. Public transports are near the park too.

Great park, lots of space, facilities are great. Even though there are a lot of people out doesn't feel too busy. Lots to see and do

Centennial Park
Bustling park, with many joggers and families/couples. Not a good place to have picnic as the grass wasn’t mowed, stems were woody and a pain to sit on even with a food picnic mat. Many insects and bin birds too. Overall a pretty huge park offering great space for a range of activities.

My favorite park in Sydney. Whether for picnics, sports, taking a “bushwalk” in the city, catching a summer flick at moonlight cinema, and watching the bats fly out, Centennial Park is a gem in Sydney.
