As a first time seller i wasn't sure what to expect but the whole team are very good at their job. Dropped the sterling silver goods off on the Monday everything sold on the Thursday within or very close to the estimated range and full documentation supplied detailing all the costs and final outcome the next day. Funds deposited as advised on the Friday 8 days after the sale. I would definitely use them again.

The staff are always pleasant to deal with and I really enjoy the mix of items that comes through each department every week. Their specialty sales are also incredibly well put together. I find Leonard Joel’s website a lot easier to navigate than the websites of other auction houses.

I had a terrible experience with their system. I placed a bid on their website for an auction, and during the bidding, the system displayed that I was the highest bidder. However, after the auction ended, I received an email informing me that I did not win the item. When I contacted their customer service, they explained that someone else had bid the same price as me. Unfortunately, the system did not provide any indication or notification during the auction, and if there had been any, I would have increased my bid. However, as a larger auction house in Australia, I believe that you should optimize your processes.
