Absolute phenomenal Fish and Chips from this corner store. Could not fault a single thing. Priced well and the taste is to die for.

A hidden gem of a place to get fish and chips. This is now our favorite go to shop. Great fish calamari and chips served with a smile. Also has a small corner store ( & the associated atmosphere I remember from my childhood) with a good variety of produce for a quick pop in.

Moved up from Newcastle NSW and had to find the best fish n chip shop on the Sunshine Coast. Travelled 20mins to The Cool Spot and was 100% worth the drive. This is a must visit!

Classic side street fish and chip shop with a small convenience store inside. Probably comparable to the others nearby price wise. Definitely filled me up with a little to spare. Will be back next time I’m on the coast

A throw-back to yesteryear (this is a good thing). Reminds me of the milk bars that used to be on most street corners where I grew up, but that have now been replaced by soul-less chains.The fish and chips were perfect, the burger too much (as a burger should be) and the pinepple fritter was awful (as a pineapple fritter should be).You can also buy milk and groceries if you find youself in need (emergency mouthwash after the pineapple fritter).I don't mean to be unkind about the fritter - it is something remembered from childhood (like picking your nose or soiling yourself).I'm sure someone out there likes pineapple fritters, and they should be found and locked away for a very, very long time.

Wow, wow, wow. We looked online for a well rated fish and chip place and The Cool Spot did not disapoint. We couldn't decide on the fish and chips or burger and chips.....so we got both. The burger, fish, gravy and chips (with awesome chicken salt) were all so flavoursome. To top it all off, the service was amazing and we left with a smile.Thankyou, we will be back

A perfect spot for an after beach meal. All the fish eaters really enjoyed their fish, calamari and prawns, and there was a Vege burger option for the vegetarians. Apologies for the photo. Decided to leave the review at the end of the meal coz we were sooo hungry! Even the thick shakes were to die for!!!

GLUTEN FREE CHIPS!!! Wooohooo!!This is such a warm and friendly shop! We recently visited friends in the area and decided we all wanted Fish n Chips for dinner. My 4yr old son and my husband are both coeliac meaning they can only eat gluten free. I start to make some calls around the area as to what options were available as majority of other fish n chips shops do not cater for coeliacs and this results in a pretty sad hubby and son! I was absolutely delighted when I called The Cool Spot and was told that they had gluten free chips and just as important, they have a separate fryer for them too!!! The food was absolutely delicious and we have since returned for more! Thank you so much guys!
