Plenty of parking with very friendly staff. Two of the family wanted to use the VR canyon setup and they thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Staff were very helpful in discussing walks and access to areas. Nice selection of gifts and items to purchase.

If you are looking for recommendations and nice spots to stay around the Blue Mountains this info center is the place to go.Mel was amazing gave a map and point it out everything we should be doing and nice campgrounds to stay and good coffee shops to go. She was super lovely and friendly. Make sure you check out their virtual reality thing, it’s pretty cool and not expensive.

This BMHC is an amazing place. Lots to look at in regards to the bush and animals. My visit today was Art related with amazingly beautiful artwork on display. Very crowded with an excellent turnout, with heavy rain and mist. Heaps of local Blue Mountains artists and Sydney and surround artists attended.#visitbluemountains #artist #art #blackheath #katoomba #photography

Informative visitor centre to find out plenty about the walking trails , history and geography of the blue mountains , with particular focus on the Gross Valley.Easy place to find , and a nice gift shop with a variety of things to purchase with Australian bush flora and fauna motifsUnfortunately the lookout nearby is closed for renovation - good reason to come back!!

We always like our visit to the Blue Mountains Heritage center. Today it was a bit windy and chilly but we enjoyed the view and the walk. We look forward to see all the improvements finished, but looking at it , it's going to be great.

We stopped off here because it was raining. We went to the gift shop/visitor centre, but the two staff members who were there were in the middle of a personal conversation and were not interested in acknowledging us. The theatrette was the best part of this place but not worth visiting if you can't walk the tracks.

Wonderful team taking care of one of the scenic placesWe planned the Grand Canyon hike very last minute . When arriving at the centre we really had little information about where to start. The staff member Ebony was very knowledgeable and helpful by giving us some tips about the route and ordered a can to take us to the starting point we wanted as one of routes was closed. It was one the most enjoyable hikes I have done and you feel a sense of accomplished once you have completed the loop.

The Heritage Centre has posters on it's walls about the local Aboriginal culture, plants, animals and the fantastic walking tracks around the Gross Valley. The centre is run by the National Parks and Wildlife service and there is a gallery, theatre and a gift shop with plenty of the Aboriginal souvenirs , clothing and books.Outside the Fairfax Heritage walking track starts.

Very highly recommended.I visited the Blue Mountains Heritage Centre near Govetts Leap Lookout in May 2022 to see the Peter Hickey Blue Mountains Photography display (which left a lasting impression). The visitor’s centre is a really nice one and the staff are very pleasant – worth a visit.I’m writing this review a year later because by chance (again) I met Peter and what a lovely guy he is. I thought it only right to give an honest review here to let others know about his work. I remember my favourites were ‘out of the gloom’ and ‘three spears sunrise’.The most impactful for us was how Peter managed to capture the bushfire devastation in the Blue Mountains (you can seriously feel it) while also providing a new hope and glimmers of new shoots and flowers. So so powerful. Thoroughly recommend.
