Baithouse in the Tea Garden Watsons Bay
It saddens me to write such a negative review of a venue that I have frequented. The coffee is consistently good and the food has been OK if rather pricey for a cafe. The ambience and vista is beyond beautiful. The service has been well under par, a view shared by others, but our experience yesterday broke the camels back. The Tea Garden was well under half capacity and there were plenty of staff floating around and chatting behind the counter. After 15 minutes my wife went in to order at the same time asking a waitress to clear and clean our table which had residual plates from the previous customers. We sat for well over half an hour waiting for a simple meal at which time my wife went in and complained about the delay, to be told it would be under 5 minutes. 10 minutes later she went in to cancel the order and ask for a refund.Yes she got the refund together with a loud vocal defensive tirade by the owner. What a pity - goodbye.

This is a lovely quiet cafe with a great view of Watson's Bay. Nicola the owner is friendly and always says hello to everyone. We ordered a Prosciutto cotto and funghi (ham and mushroom) pizza and chips. Will visit this cafe again

What a lovely pleasant little cafe with wonderful view overlooking the bay and the Harbour Bridge.Plenty of choices of tea, coffee etcServed by a very lovely waitress. We only had tea and cake but it was so delicious. If I return to Sydney. This little gem is top of my list.

Poor food quality. Overpriced. And really bad customer service. This place is lacking staff attention to detail and they clearly thing that being on the waters edge means that people will come to them no matter what. The choice is up to:Either come to this place and endure the poor quality wait staff and overall experience all at extreme pricesOr enjoy your time at a cheaper cafe with better staff.

Incredibly slow service. Ordered 2 OJ's and a coffee plus one slice of cake. Over 25 minutes wait and the place wasn't busy.Coffee was borderline hot enough, no way to sit and enjoy savouring it without it going cold.View is nice but it's the only thing going for this Cafe. Best to avoid.

$18 for pictured cappuccino, hot choc and soft plastic chewy french thing. Friendly to men. Coffee was good so gets 2 starsCould do much better for the location.

Absolutely loved this cafe. Such friendly staff, incredible food, beautiful views of the water. I’d have stayed all day if I could have. Even got a visit from the local cockatoo, popping in for her daily walnuts. Just the most perfect spot. Thank you.

This is a really great little cafe. Well worth the short walk along the foreshore away from the other noisy & expensive restaurants. Beautiful setting, lovely icecream and friendly service. Highly recommended!
