Sarah, the lovely owner of the salon, is to be commended for the professional, caring and positive way in which she deals with her clients and staff. Hot Vanilla gets my vote for Top Hair Spot in Cleveland but don’t just take my word for it – go and experience the pampering, the ambience and the fun atmosphere for yourself!

My sister and I have been going to this salon this year for our hair and we have loved every experience. The hair dressers are so friendly and we always love how our hair looks when it is finished. I have short hair and their styling is my favourite. My sister has long hair and gets both foils and cuts and it always looks so natural and beachy looking ! We highly recommend and our mum is happy too !

Wouldn’t recommend this salon for bleached blondes. I went to this salon sometime last year because my hair dresser was on holiday. (Which I largely regret!) I normally get a scalp bleach but I know scalp beaches can be temperamental for new clients so I went with a full head of foils because they are easier to control and you can’t really stuff them up. I’ve been getting my hair bleached for close to 10 years, my hair is past my bum in length and platinum so it’s obvious that I bleach to a high level easily. The foils she put in did not process enough(so they were yellow) she then used a tint toner to tone the yellow which lifted the not foiled hair to bright orange! So I walked out with organge and yellow regrowth, in tears and still made to pay $200 for orange hair! If your staff were trained properly they’d know to never use a tint toner on foiled hair! I wish I could attach a photo so show how bad it was. My hairdresser was mortified at what she had to fix! If your not confident you can get hair to the level it’s at then don’t do it. I’d rather be turned away then have my hair ruined! This salon should of had to pay my bill from my hairdresser to fix it, because it was a long and expensive appointment to get my hair back to the high standard it’s kept at!

Sarah and her Salon are the best in the Redlands.She listens to what I’d like to achieve with my hair and always always delivers every time.Not an easy task when I’m very particular and have so much grey.Very professional, extremely skilled and knowledgeable and such a caring lady.Love watching her staff work and transform ladies to glam.Highly recommend.

Very nice people. Got an apt for both me and my sister last minute and it was great. I'm annoyed I didn't get a name but the lovely red haired hairdresser worked on us both and she is a saint. Very happy with my new cut :)

Great salon. The owner is lovely and listens to what you want. Also, love popping into the boutique which is adjoining ... they always have interesting dresses that you can't find anywhere else.

Spent over $400 on what was meant to be lived in balayage my hair was damaged severely, I have what I call cockatoo hairs all along my hair part where my hair snapped off i noticed it as soon as I got home, heaps of fly aways. Two women did foils on either side so one side was thin and the other thick and just looked silly. The foils were underneath not on top of my head so I liked it when in salon because with my hair curled you could see the foils but when straight again I can only see them if my hair is lifted the blonde is pretty much gone as though the colour was semi permanent, some of it just snapped off brushing and the products (purple shampoo and hair mask) are cheap brands sold for good brand prices. A month and a half later I already had regrowth so definitely not lived in balayage with root stretch like I asked for. My fringe was shredded with scissors I had to get it cut and fixed and waiting for that to grow back. For a salon presented as luxurious I was surprised they counted the foils and wouldn't do more so the back wasn't done just left as it was. The absolute worst thing was the posting of photos of myself on social media with no permission. Too bad if I was a woman in a DV escape situation and needed my privacy. I actually would not have agreed to them had they asked because it was more than just my hair and I could be identified by anyone. The salon is nice and clean, majority of staff and the owner were nice but the services just weren't up to scratch and that's what I paid for.

I paid $160 for a full head of foils done here and i walked out with half a head and a horribly sore neck after they told me not to move off the hair basin for an hour.Had a following up appointment booked and paid upfront for (they told me it will be finished after one more appointment)That appointment I couldn't make as I moved and things happened. So I asked for a refund as it wasnt worth me going all the way back. I even said I understand if you have to take a percentage out of the whole because of the booking, but she told me she CANNOT do a refund what so ever and that I had to get the service done, following that she told me the service was now $130 instead of $160 because she was cutting somebody's hair that 'knew' me. So the owner honestly let somebody use the money I had paid up front, to get a hair cut, without calling or asking me if it was okay. I didn't even know. Once I asked her why the hell she was giving my money to someone that could be an absolute stranger, she dismissed me completely.I'd just like to know what kind of professional hair dresser let's a stranger come in, ask for a hair cut out of someone else's PAID for service and not even let them know, or offer a refund and completely dismiss them. Absolute joke and would not recommended. Lovely lady, though unfortunately a useless and completely unprofessional business woman.

My 15 year old went to have her colour changed from blonde back to brunette. Within three days hair was not brunette and was looking more blonde and was throwing a orange at the crown. She went back and they tried to fix and after a few days later again she had all different colours brown, blonde and orange . I rang to get a solution and they wouldn’t try to fix or refund my daughter only saying it’s my daughter’s hair and they don’t know why her hair is doing this. I have sought two other hairdressers opinions and they disagree with this salon. Pretty poor to treat a 15 year old this way. Pretty horrible experience for her as she spent $358 and that is months work for her.
