Asked to test an electrical item. Told by long haired rasty. Who obviously was running the place pay for item refused test. Stealing money for junk. Then threatened to put me in hospital. Absolute junk store.

The Salvage Shed Shop at the Ballina Recycle Centre is run by a charity supporting community recovery needs: real jobs, those recovering from mental illness, and those with disabilities. I support Ballina up cycling opportunities and the hard working people who make this income stream for this charity excel. Go the Momentum Collection Salvage Shed of Ballina! Google it! It’s important work!

This place used to be sensible with pricing but recently has gone nuts. Just because you tag and test electrical equipment doesn’t mean it will work or even be any good. Likewise with speakers etc, just because it has a brand name doesn't mean you should be asking stupid prices … especially when there are no returns and nothing is functionally tested. Its a tip shop!

Fair enough you are privately run so need to make money but trust me, You would have gotten heaps out of me if you negotiated or had fair prices. Now I walk away with nothing and you make $0. Judging from the reviews a lot of customers feel the same way. I was there for scrap metal, literally rubbish with very small market and your prices were cooked

Prices have crept up to the point that i don't bother. I love up-cycling and looking for hidden treasures. I now go to Lismore. Note- staff at Ballina nice. Would be good if prices lowered and reduce the amount of stuff

They pay money to have big flashing sign at gate saying closed for Easter. Tip update online hours it's free!!! It's too late by the time we get to gate with our car full, which we now just have to go unload at home!! I saw 5 cars do U turn just while I was there . Pretty basic

Worst tip shop in Australia. If you like upcycling and reducing waste on the environment, don’t bother with this tip shop. More expensive than full priced item brand new!! Absolutely outrageous prices. Can’t understand why they are so greedy the place is choka block if they’d offer reasonable prices they’d be able to rehome the plethora of stuff that is piling up.
