the decor is incredible (so many cool stories!) And the food even better! From the moment we sat down we were welcomed by mikey, Liz and the team and made to feel at home. My partner and I finished a whole 18 buffalo pizza to ourselves (which surprised us as it was massive!) The beer and wine selection is also fantastic. Get the birra moretti on tap (new favourite!) Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the pizzas! Cheers team!!"

MIKEY’S PIZZA
Looking for a great tasting pizza stop in to Mikey’s. We walked by first and ended up doing a take away as the place was packed. Staff was very nice. Looking for a flavorful tomato base and spices with a fresh dough and a Detroit Style order the Grandma or it’s sister with Pepperoni. It’ll feed four to five people. Crusty on the bottom and a perfect amount cheese , sauce, and Italian spices. Looking forward to try their other pizzas and salads. Note- The owners haven’t updated the menus and the grandmas aren’t on them yet.

Really enjoyed our trip to Mikeys. The pizza was insane - the most crispy crust and good selection of toppings. We got the New Yorker and didn’t disappoint! Best pizza in bondi hands down.

Must get the grandma pizza If none other. The round pizzas are good don't get me wrong but you will dream about the grandma pizza for days.Definitely better in the restaurant than take away as I've tried both.

MIKEY’S PIZZA
I am from US and a huge pizza lover. Lived in NY for four years, and have been searching for six years in Sydney for comparable, proper American pizza. Finally, someone has it!! Mikey’s is excellent pizza. Wonderful staff, funky vibe and music is great. Mikey himself is such a nice guy and makes a mean slice!!! Can’t recommend enough. Best pizza I’ve had in Australia by far.

Mikey's did the research and put in the hours to craft an authentic, yet original spin on a New York Pizza. This is what an Australian Pizza should be - it's all about the crust, balance of fresh ingredients, and judicious use of fire. The service suggests a family business, proud of their product and keen to make a go of it. The atmosphere is post-funk Bondi cafe. Thursday night is the time to catch local talent on the rise... (looking at you Ziggy McNeil). The acoustics are suprisingly good, considering the space. Best of luck to the whole crew!

I had the Brooklyn Pizza and it was absolutely delicious! WOW! Before I would only order Italian pizzas but after tasting the best from New York in the heart of Sydney, by Bondi - this charming restaurant got me!! Another 5 Stars for the service - Mike is amazing!

BONDI. Here in bondi, we love the northern beaches. Well, I mean we love that they exist. We've never been there (sober), but the beaches obviously keep the good (?) peeps of the area away from here.So, mikey says he's moved here and yada yada yada, they're open and I'm the blessed virgin reviewer.They claim to be a new york style. Well, that's as big a call as me telling Djokovic that im a great tennis player. The pedigree is good...they know the good places in new York....but words ain't pizza and only one will be eaten today.There are certain tests for new york Pizza...heres how they fared...Stretch. The dough should stretch as you bite and chew it. It's a tough test that most fail. The base passes the test really well, though the crust is still a bit stiff, but not to a fault.Sugo: It doesn't matter where your tomatoes come from, it's how they work. These are a very good balance of liquid and flavour. A tad sweet for me, but not out of the range you'd get in nyc.Cheese: there's enough stretch here to satisfy.Fold: this is key. The slice, even this pie cut into 8 (firmly believe the smaller size should be cut to 6) needs to be able to be folded by the crust and eaten the way god intended. No dripping, no fall out, no collapsing, but still with the aforementioned chew. This does it well. Big plus.Others: one piece of basil per slice is a real plus. The side oils too. Service is good and friendly, though not new york style (which is a great mix of friendly, and why are you here

Solid pizza. Even better banter with the barmen/owner. Loved both the grandma's slice and NY slice but thin and crispy everyday when it's good. Would visit again if I lived closer.
