Under New Management - The new owners have been fantastic with Holly she takes a while to get to know new people but Janine went out of her way to bond and is loving it. Holly is a big girl and is enjoying a lot more outdoor time and stimulation than she was getting before. We know it has been a hard transfer with little support but you guys are rocking it and you have our support and we know you will do well

It does not surprise me to see these recent reviews now that the business is under new management. I couldn't agree more with what was said about the previous owner and her staff, they were just delightful and were awesome with my dog Nala.I had my concerns a couple of weeks back when I noticed none of the previous staff were kept on and the place just does not have that warm fuzzy feeling anymore.I was also told today that Nala wasn't welcome back, never had one issue previously, she loved going there and was exhausted when she came home. Apparently she was too hard to get hold of and was nipping at other dogs. This is not something she has done before so I have to question the environment she was in and why she was clearly stressed out. I know this as she was whining in the car on the way home! When I told the new owner we had never had an issue previously she said everyone had said the same thing and questioned what the previous owners were doing???Well the previous owner and her staff were fantastic and it's sad to see them go.I have no doubt there are some challenging dogs but they took the time to get to know them and understand how to make things work.I am somewhat relieved that she won't be going back and will happily find somewhere else.Good luck to the new owners, you are going to need it.Oh...and this is not a fake review!!RESPONDING TO YOUR NOTE: Nala was fully screened when she started out at Central Bark and socialised with numerous dogs and obviously passed! This is something the previous owners did as you know.Nala has never been in a fight and certainly never tried to instigate one! so i have to laugh at how you have insinuated she was trying to start a fight with everyone. As I have said she clearly was unsettled under your supervision and I would have thought as part of your service you would work a little harder with the dogs who misbehave" rather than just show them the door.I guess the customer rating since ownership has changed hands says it all for me!"

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT! I used to pick up my dog exhausted and beaming with happiness and excitement, he loved the girls that worked there. Upon my recent visit under the new ownership, it was apparent that the establishment was inadequately staffed, and I didn't see any of the familiar faces of the other workers. Where there were usually three to four workers looking after the dogs I only saw one. When I collected my dog at the end of the day he seemed dejected and despondent.I moved SOR but would drive here solely for the exceptional service and the profound bond my dog shared with this establishment. I hope these new owners find their feet. But I won't be returning. Such a shame, if any of the old workers have moved somewhere else facebook message me PLEASE! (Big Louie the Irish Setter misses you!)UPDATE: I am real but I understand why you don't remember taking care of my Irish Setter as you were understaffed. Any person who reads my review can tell it's genuine. As a business owner it is unethical to say all your negative reviews are fake.good luck to you and your business in the future.

My dog has been going to CB for almost 11 years - ever since he was about 4mo. Until very recently, I would have happily given the business a five-star rating, however, I am unable in all conscience to give it any higher than a one-star rating now it has changed ownership. It became apparent on Astro's first visit under the management of the new owners that there had been a 100% change in staffing, which is a huge concern for me. Astro has difficulties with unknown people but had always coped well with new staff members because there was always an overlap of old vs new employees there who could ensure that new workers were aware of his idiosyncrasies. On his first visit with the new owners, I asked if they were aware that he had difficulties with people & told them about him so that they could manage him appropriately. I assumed & expected that this information would be passed on to other staff members. However, on his next visit it became clear that was not the case as the next person I saw knew nothing about him. This was a huge concern to me as I do not want my dog being put in a scary situation (for both him & the people who are supervising him) because he was handled inappropriately. It's important that any information an owner gives about their dog is shared with anyone that will be supervising them & the fact that was not shared did not instil me with confidence in the new management.I was also disappointed that there has been no attempt on the new owner's part to provide clients with any information about them - their experience with dogs, the staff members there (particularly in light of the complete staff turnover). I would have thought that in the lead-up to the handover there would have been time to produce a short handout that could have been given to clients detailing who they were, what experience they had & what their plans for CB's future were. For those of us who had been long-term clients of the previous owner, I'm sure it would have gone a long way to allay the fears that I'm sure we all felt about the change of ownership. Fears that appear to have been well-founded.

Under new ownership, had our pup attend twice a week for the past year and on day 1 of the takeover we were told to not bring our dog back until he receives more training. He is a well trained golden retriever but was hesitant to go into the pens so the new owners solution was to leave him in the corridor all day and tell us not to come back. He used to love attending this daycare until suddenly recently developing a fear for going into the pens. The old owners and staff were awesome and together we were working on solutions to make daycare a positive experience like it used to be. We were put into the too hard basket by the new owners on day 1 and regardless of being told not to come back we wouldn’t be comfortable sending our dog there anyway. Such a shame.

I have been using Central Bark for more than 5 years. Unfortunately to say my last review was 5 star, but today I cannot rate higher than a 1.My 2 dogs have loved daycare and were regular attendants. The girls new them, would send me photos, and give me an update when I would pick them up. Hearing an honest review of how they had been gave me confidence that they had been looked after and behaviour corrected where applicable, as I would expect and do so at home.My Daisy is quite a nervous dog, and on occasion can get quite anxious if it was very busy and noisy. I worked with the team to have trials with Daisy to make sure daycare was safe and enjoyable for her, which went incredibly well! However, the first pick up I had with the new owners has really frightened me to return. Knowing Daisy’s anxiety, the existing staff gave a handover so Daisy and all the other dogs could be safe and happy at daycare. When I picked the dogs up, neither of the new owners had a single clue who my dogs were. I asked for them by name, and then told them their breed and description.Even then, I was then bought out a lovely doggy, who was not mine. This shows no care for the dogs and no interest in learning who they are. I understand there are lots of dogs to learn their names, however how can they watch Daisy and make sure she’s ok, if they have no idea which one she is?? Especially being told of her previous anxiety issues.I love my pups as my family, and I certainly wouldn’t accept this from any other day care (doggy or child) and can not safely return. If your dog is anxious or needs extra love and care, please consider before going here.
