Osaki Japanese All You Can Eat

I'm not quite sure what I expected, but after dining here for the first time I am disappointed. Although service was good and fast, immediately we were presented with stale prawn crackers. When we ordered drinks, two of three came out warm (nobody likes warm beer!) though one of which was promptly replaced with a chilled bottle. We first ordered beef tataki, which was poorly presented and not prepared according to the photograph, with far unbalanced meat to lettuce ratio. Then came the sushi and sashimi platters, which contained visibly not fresh sushi, and tasted as such. The sushi was cold, which indicates to me that it has been refrigerated instead of being prepared fresh. In addition to this, the ratio of fish to rice on the nigiri was abysmal, with the thinnest slice of fish over a huge lump of cold rice. Despite the service being fast, it clearly meant that most cold dishes were made in advance, which is not desirable.I think there is room for improvement here, but it all depends on how well this business responds to constructive feedback. First, I think i would happily give up speedy service for fresher food. Also, some of the dishes presented seem better suited to be shared, but no sharing plates are provided. Why?I also feel like there could be more items on the menu and more variety, like for example a salmon lover's set, and more seafood options other than sushi alone, however the quality must improve first.The gyoza was nice, but the filling wasn't flavourful. The curry chicken and also the chicken wings were tasty, but out of all 30+ available dishes, and the obvious sushi-forward advertising, those should not be the stand out dishes.I really wanted to give this place an honest first try, and I hope that I can return in future, as long as some improvements are made.

Excellent value for money if you're hungry enough. You order from a menu and everything is cooked fresh and delivered to the table. The wait times for these dishes can range from nearly immediately to upwards of 15-20 minutes, seems quite random and would depend on a variety of factors. Wait staff are very attentive when it comes to ordering additional dishes, to which I give them credit.As for the food, the highlight of the menu is the chicken dishes and sushi platters. Beef dishes I find to be chewy or tasteless. Drinks menu and prices are standard, although service would benefit from providing tap water upon being seated.Overall a recommended experience and I imagine would be fun with a large group (for which there are large booths provided).

Friendly staffs and service were good n quick here.Hot food was fresh made and still hot when delivered to table.Wide range of food, I and my partner were surprised at meat steak , and fried chicken is very juicy. Tataki is very thin sliced and mixture with the sauce makes it perfect. Music is also good.Icecream was amazing, green tea, seasame...If could have more options would be a very nice place. Definitely will recommend other friends to here next time.

A grest place to have dinner. They have so many dishes which you can try. All the dishes are fantastic and fresh. Service was quick and friendly.Maximum you can sit on table for 2hrs.You can have unlimited food.You can order as many times and as many food you want.I’m in Love with this place.

I love, love, love the concept of ‘eat as much as you can’ for $36.8.Really allows you to pick and choose and try a few different dishes. Overall, the food was very tasty. It would be awesome to see little flags with names on the dishes as I just couldn’t remember everything we ordered, especially if this is not your daily genre.Great vibes and felt like a family restaurant. Very popular. I love Sushi!

Food was superb and plentiful. The staff were super attentive, not overly so though and my word they work hard. I thought that I would be able to demolish the menu but it's too filling. We will be back for sure next trip. It's well worth the money and moreOh, be sure to have the ice cream too. Super flavours.

Attentive service. Food was great. The venue itself was nice only let down by the eighties music. Perhaps a touch of traditional Japanese playing ever so softly in the background would be better.All in all though, for just a little more than you would pay for a pub meal it's a far better option.Will definitely go again.

March 2023: Osaki opened recently. Although it's a large, vast space, the food was delicious. For $36.80 per person, you can eat anything off the menu. Unlimited food! We tried to get one of everything, but couldn't eat that much! Definitely returning.

Loved our dinner at Osaki, service was great, menu had a lot of choice and the food was delicious. Even though it's all you can eat it's still table service.
