We had a wonderful experience this afternoon with Eddie. He spent so much time with my 4 year old and 2 year old grandchildren. They were both adamant they were not having photos taken and he was brilliant in getting me some lovely pictures of them and my 3 teenage grandchildren. I honestly cannot thank him enough for going above and beyond as a photographer.I highly recommend this photographer and studio for their assistance in getting me the photos I wanted...by the way his young assistant Charlie was great at putting the children at ease too.A very professional afternoon.

My child 'won' the $500 voucher from a public event for this photo shoot. We were initially excited and proud of this achievement. However, the overall experience was pretty average. I wish I had read everyone else's one star review before hand. But always happy to learn lessons in life.The shoot was very ' low energy input' from the service, although reasonably friendly. The price is perhaps the market rate, however not good value comparing to other services we have had over the years.The marketing and sales strategy is definitely not getting the business referrals from us. From a $500 voucher prize, to $50 out of pocket booking deposit to $1525 for 16 digital images of its quality, is a bit of a hike. In the end, we went along merely to support a family business as a good will to be honest with understanding of COVID impact on small businesses.Respect the business model and commercial tactic, suggest to have some business coaching for the long run, no offence.All the best but we won't recommend the service to anyone we care about. Sorry.After 4 months at the end of December 2022, we still haven't received the digital photos we have paid for due to the owner is very upset and would not either refund or send us the photos unless we taken down the review.It is unprofessional and bullying.We are going to take legal actions next. Very disappointing.

We are a family of 7 and were lucky to win a $500 voucher in May 2022. Black and White studios have been amazing and patient in organising a booking around our crazy life schedules.Finally had our photo shoot today and we are thrilled with the finished products. Eddy you were fantastic in getting everyone in the mood and really know your stuff and if you can make our 5 kids smile/laugh you are doing a good job. Farrah you were very efficient, helpful and made choosing what we wanted much less stressful. Thank you both for making it a very enjoyable and hassle free experience. Russell and Donna And Co

Kids “won” a drawing competition worth 500 dollars at Lamanna supermarket, just like the family after us in the reception area we found out as we were walking out. Prior to coming in for the photo shoot, Black & White Photography did send us a price list (so, transparent about price) but we only wanted to claim one photo (which is all you can get for a 500 dollar voucher. I know, right?). After the shoot, we were taken to a room to view the photos which was fine except for the cheap and VERY pushy attempt to appeal to our emotions and get us to commit to thousands of dollars of photographs we did not want. The photographers, however, were super talented, personable and great with the kids (why on earth are you wasting your time working there?) and the venue is great. It’s a pity that the sales team feel the need to use cheap tactics to extract money out of decent people. We had to push hard but they did eventually, albeit very reluctantly, hand over a beautiful free photograph (thank you photographers). If your management/ownership read this, the salesperson on your payroll that day lost you $350-$400 in photos (we would have been happy to buy a few more photos) and thousands in potential future referrals. If the salesperson is/was the owner, I am happy to provide business consulting which you desperately need. I charge $500/hr and no we won’t make you enter a drawing competition.

First class studio. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome and relaxed. The photographer was friendly and great with the kids as was the assistant. They were both understanding and patient as we had an autistic child who was very hesitant to have their photo taken.A lovely area to have a break in while we waited for the photos to be ready for viewing. The viewing of the photos was so well done. There was no pressure to buy and the prices I felt were very reasonable.All in all it was a pleasure to be at Black and White studios. Would highly recommend them.

We had such a great experience having some beautiful family photos taken with the Black & White Studios at the Bendigo location. The whole experience was terrific with everything for the session well-thought-out and enjoyable for the adults and kids. The communication leading up to the session was marvellous. Thanks so much, we just love our photos!

We were very happy with the service that we received from Black&White Studios. All of the staff were great, from the lady at reception upon entry who gave us a warm welcome, to the photographer who took our family upstairs and got our 4 and 6 year old to co-operate for nearly an hour to get some gorgeous shots, and finally the lovely staff member who took us to the viewing room so we could select a great array of photos and package options whilst keeping our kids occupied with a movie and headphones. We’ve been meaning to do shots like these for our family for a long time and then COVID hit, but as luck would have it, we ended up winning a $500 gift card and we thought why not. From the moment we rang to book our appointment (close to 3 months away), right through to the end of our photoshoot and package selection, the team have been informative (sending weekly/bi-weekly information updates), making sure we have a complete understanding as to how the gift card applies and to how much photo packages can go up to, not holding any information back. Would happily recommend Black&White studios to anyone else with a young family, to capture the ever fleeting moments of kids that just seem to grow up too fast. (The days may be long, but the years go quick)
