Universal Taekwon-Do
I have trained in Martial Arts for over 20 years and have been part of a few different organisations. Universal Taekwon-Do is far more friendlier and welcoming than any organisations I have previously been part of, the knowledge shared and attention to each student makes me proud to be a member. The club is a giant family and Myself, my Wife and Three Kids will continue to be part of the club as long as they will have us.

Mr Gerard Kelly is incredibly capable and passionate about Tae Kwon Do and this reflects in the quality of his teaching and the overall club experience. I would recommend for everyone (and I’m 72!)

Universal Taekwon-Do
The instructors are very friendly and approachable. Both the founding instructors are very knowledgeable and World Championship medallists. The main instructor, Mr Gerard Kelly, brings an infectious energy to every class that makes you glad to have come and wanting more.I came to this club after my previous one had regrettably closed down due to changes in the instructors' personal circumstances making travel to and from classes difficult. Universal TKD has welcomed me with open arms and made me feel part of the TKD family in no time.

Universal Taekwon-Do
We cannot thank Universal Taekwon-do (Mr and Mrs Kelly) enough for what they had done for our son. Their encouragement, understanding and guidance during his lessons has helped him reach not only goals within the club, but within himself as well. At a time when things were hardest for him they were there, always positive, always allowing him to go at his pace, never pushy or rash. For us this is not just a club, it's a family, a safe space to nurture martial arts and self defense skills. We are so thankful for the positive influence he continues to receive here.

I've just returned to Mr Kelly's classes after 15 years away. He tailors to my age! and always makes me feel confident and welcome. I love learning Taekwondo from Mr Kelly, and the other black belts and students. Always fun and I'm getting fit again!

Mr Kelly is an amazing instructor who shows all the tenants of Taekwondo in his teaching and his life. He is enthusiastic and infects all his students with his love of all things Taekwondo. Love training with him and all his students.

As far as Marital Arts go on the Sunshine Coast (and Queensland) this outfit is the best. Mr Kelly (and Mrs Kelly) take time with each student to ensure they reach their fullest potential. His classes are always enjoyable and value for money. Highly recommend for any age or fitness level.

Mr Kelly and the Universal Team are absolutely top notch as instructors and practitioners. They go above and beyond to continuously better their teachings and have all the time in the world for their students (of all ages and goals). No politics, just Taekwon-Do. It's hard to find clubs that give you the same sense of family and belonging.

Knowledgeable instructors who I have taught me so much more than just TKD. Will go at student pace, alter teaching to fit student needs and communication styles, and it a energetic welcoming environment for all!
