Room was comfortable & was waiting to be refurbished, we were given a upgrade to a larger room as compensation for the condition. Great location and friendly service.

very close to eatiries; the top gluten free fish and chips in NSW; I agree. A bit cramped and worn out. Prices need lowering, but not much choice in Forster.

Good place to stay, and central to town. The owners are very helpful. We chose cheapest accom that we could afford on our budget, and when we arrived, we had been upgraded to better rooms, twice, on our way thru and back from sydney hospital. So we came back again. Thank you Jimmy and Janine for the nice surprise, and your warm friendliness. Will definately come back again. Steve&Deb

At a great price in a fantastic location Golden Sands is a very nice place to stay. 2 min walk to many restaurants and fast food options and one block to main beach. The room is fresh and clean . Bed comfortable. Small fridge microwave and crockery/cutlery ..plenty of tea and coffee with a few biscuits… local channels on tv.. pool was nice for a swim too.. A pleasant surprise was room was serviced while we were out… haven’t seen that happen elsewhere at this price for a couple of years

Close quick walk to a Nice beach. Good service and easy go get in and out. Good space in rooms. Easy with children and the is a pool. It's not a luxury hotel but great for us who were just stopping on the way to Sidney.

Rang up and booked over the phone while we were driving.We got very helpful and prompt service which was great.We got what we paid for in the end which was cheap.The room was very old and could do with a refurb. Bed was comfortable though.The room was very light as theoutside light was left on all night.Felt the room was on the dirty side.Location was close to pubs and restaurants.We would stay again if they modernised.
