Thredbo Service Station

Highly arrogant and very unhelpful owner. Asked $45 to fix a tyre leak and then asked $220 to just change the tyre. When asked why the price is $220 to just put my tyre back, he decided not to service

As expected fuel price through the roof..

Highly recommend to avoid this place. The owner is extremely rude and dishonest. He was very happy for me to leave my car, get back to Sydney and come back a week later to pick it up until I asked for a quote. Suddenly became very aggressive and nasty. Towing the car to Jindabyne and getting it fix there is a much better option. The info centre near by can help with that.

Avoid.Rude. Made me think twice, if I am paying for his rudeness and lack of mindfulness. Decided not to take his service at all. He can take his arrogance and attitude with him to his after life.

Avoid at all costs. The worst mechanic there ever could be. Refused to even look at my Amarok, because in his words, ‘I don’t like them’. I spent the morning laying under the Ute in rain and snow fixing it myself with a hose clamp from the ski lift mechanic.His suggestion without even looking at it or wanting to talk about it was to take it to Canberra 220km away.I askedif I could buy a simple hose clamp (80c part), he had sitting on the bench, refused to sell me one because they were ‘reserved for his boat’ which obviously hadn’t been wet in a long time.All the Ute needed was a hose clamp to replace a broken one which led to a diesel leak.Instead, the mechanic sat in his shop looking at this phone and computer all day while I fixed it in the freezing rain.To top it off, he was exceptionally rude.Still can’t wrap my head around why a diesel mechanic with no work on that day would refuse to look at a simple diesel leak which ended up being a really simple fix. Do your job buddy

Rudest bloke running the place. Fuel was 75c a litre more expensive than anywhere else (not that you can read the numbers on the ancient dodgy pumps but asking results in you getting yelled at to look at the pump) so we waited until the next town. Fuel up at Jindabyne or elsewhere!

Not kind and no recommend.If you want to check your car because of car problems, minimum price is $85 for just checking. Even if your car is ok.Also the petrol price is the highest in Australia like mt. Smowy. haha

Rip off servo, deisel $2.70 L, would rather drive 20 mins back up to Jindabyne where deisel is only $1.90L plus the junkie behind the counter looks like he loves ripping every poor bloke off to afford another hit. Wouldn't touch this joint with a 2km pole.

Petrol price was crazy, like nearly $1/L above market average. But the guy running it was helpful and friendly and recommended the minimum needed to get to Jindabyne. $10 well spent since I was running on empty

This is a very small older style BP at Thredbo. Being a resort village in a remotish location the price of fuel and goods is phenomenal. The petrol bowser malfunctioned and could not accurately determine the cost of our fuel. We agreed what we consider was a reasonable price. Only go here if you desperately need fuel and only purchase the least amount you need to get yo the next service station.
