Jim's Building Inspections Mt Eliza

Not great would not recommend them. I recently used Jim's for a Pre-purchase inspection on an 8yr old house that I now own and live in. I received an inspection report that only showed some small cracks in plaster and apart from that the house seemed perfect. The inspector that came out failed to notice that the shower walls were warped and grout all cracked with signs of previous patch jobs.I'm no builder but noticed this as soon as I got keys to the house. When i questioned this he was very apologetic and said he remembered feeling uncomfortable during the inspection as the previous owners were home. Not good enough, paid to do a job. I dont really know how else he could get access to the property if someone wasnt there.Currently in the process of re-doing the shower. Thanks Jims. never again.

we've had Paul Nagel do a number of building and pest inspections for us recently in our search to find our next home. And I'm so glad we did. The latest one we were all set to purchase, and if it wasn't for Paul's inspection, and more importantly his professional opinion and advice, we would've be in a lot of trouble.Not only does Paul get the job done in a very timely manner, he's more than happy to spend the time it takes to talk us through the report and make sure we understand not only what problems he's found, but how they could be fixed.As an ex-builder himself, I'd recommend his services to anyone who's looking for a building and/or pest inspection.

My wife and I have just bought our first big family home in Seaford. I wanted to make sure I was buying the right house and that structurally it was going to be a sound. Paul Nagle provided us with a building inspection and timber pest inspection for an old 1900's duplex house in Murrumbeena we were interested in buying. Paul did a great job, highlighting and documenting a lot of the details we'd missed and providing advice that you could only get from someone who has been in the building trade for years. We called Paul on the Thursday, he inspected the house at 8:15am on Friday and called on Saturday morning to send us the report. We had a 45 minute follow up call with him to go through all the detail of the report where Paul gave us a lot of additional information and helpful guidance on the property. Would recommend Paul to anyone and will use him again if we're not successful with purchasing this property.
