OZ Design Furniture Kotara

Don’t do it!!! We bought a lounge from Oz design. This lounge has a constant flow of feathers that seep out and float through out the house. This lounge lost shape within weeks and pilled prolifically. The chaise now is a deep hole that you have no choice but to roll into the centre. This was a total waste of money (over $3k) Cheaply built garbage. Google needs to introduce no star ratings.

Had an awesome sales experience here. Kathryn was great, knowledgeable, not pushy and just provided us with with advice, time, explanations, offered us to look at other stores inside and outside their brand, gave opinions on fabrics, cleaning, coverguard, and she was patient.We went exploring and came back 3 times before making the decision and she was excellent.Makes us more comfortable and likely to go back.

Purchased the Rita Buffet and Ent unit. Upon Delivery both were damaged and have cracks through out the timber. I contacted the store who had customer care Email me and advise they need to seek approval from their supplier on what action to take ( and I thought I purchased from OZ design, not a third party ) I was offered an un-substantial part refund of $200 so i decided to have a swap over of both products. This started on the 6/12/19. I received my swap over on the 15/01/20, in which the buffet was in worse condition then the first . with the buffet not painted correctly, shelves not nailed correctly cracks through out the timer. And this was after i received a call the day before delivery from the warehouse saying they quality checked everything! I emailed my customer care representative with photos , asking for a complete refund of this inferior product. I was advised that my request for a refund would have to be approved and took 7 days to be processed". I had to lodge a complaint with fair trading

Bought a Lennon TV unit & buffet, they don't match at all. We have open plan living so both pieces on same wall & they are two completely different timbers. Looks terrible. Not happy at all. When purchasing I was assured they would be in same timber. The ones on the showroom floor were matching. They refused to exchange

I ordered two matching couches in October, when they arrived in December they were totally different fabrics. It is now almost April and depite many phone calls and email I still do not have matching couches nor do I have an expected delivery time to resolve the issue. Looks like I am being forced to go to the Office of Fair trade to get a resolution.

Avoid. Poor quality furniture that either breaks during first few uses or are substantially different to the in-store display. Staff will lie to you when assessing claims, which have to be resolved through Fair Trade.Save your time and money - go elsewhere.

I normally don't leave bad reviews, however the trouble I went through with these guys and the indifference I witnessed made me to do so and warn others. I ordered four dining chairs last November or December. I was told that delivery was in early February. I strictly asked if the delivery was within the given timeframe as I had an unpleasant experience with Mr Harvey, and I was told not to worry. The chairs didn't arrive untill mid June. Finally I got a text asking to go to the store and collect the chairs. I borrowed my friend's vehicle and drove to the shop and to my surprise I was told that the text was sent by mistake and although the chairs had arrived, they were in a warehouse elsewhere. Afterwaiting for another week I received another text to go and collect the order which I did and this time I finally managed to pick up the chairs. Over this period, I sent multiple emails to Oz Design costumer's service and to my disappoinment I got no response from them. I only received two generic emails stating that the order was delayed. To make the matter even worse, when I got home and opened the boxes, I noticed that the chairs are not of the same quality as that of the showroom. Small cracks were visible on the frame due to poor production standards. I didn't bother getting in touch with them and instead I decided to write the review...

They are the most obliging people. We have just returned to Newcastle after being away working for 15 years. And have struggled trying to find nice comfortable furniture that suits our older antique pieces. We had visited countless stores, collectable and vintage shops to no avail. Search online and found nothing. Then my wife walked into the Kotara store, not only where the helpful they allowed us to purchase floor stock of a Gordon Single seater in the colour we wanted. Picked the chair up and I must say the best and super comfy armchair ever. Plenty of room for me as I'm a big bloke. It was so good we called them again today and ordered another. They have told us they will search their inventory to try and source floor stock for us, failing that we will get a new one in December. Aly and her team at Kotara are SO lovely and helpful! As an interior stylist, I use a lot of different furniture brands everyday for work - Oz really stands out to me for both trends & quality.
