Sibylle is an incredible and highly knowledgable teacher! I started lessons with her in order to prepare for my VCE German exams and I can honestly say that she has helped me improve greatly, both in speaking and in writing. Not only has she supported me in expanding my vocabulary and helped me to improve my grammar, but she has also expanded my knowledge of German history and culture. Sibylle is a passionate teacher and has fostered my love of the German language! I could not recommend her lessons enough.

I would highly recommend Language Excellence for anyone keen to start learning German. As someone with no experience with the language they really helped me understand the key building blocks. Sibylle is a fantastic teacher, and delves deeply into the history and culture which has shaped the language, as well as many digressions into the etymology of certain words and phrases, this really enhanced my experience and curiosity to dig deeper in to studying the language. The first 10 or so weeks are focussed on basics (verbs, conjugation, vocabulary, numbers, pronouns) which are taught in a relaxed and engaging classroom setting and are supplemented by listening exercises and homework tasks. Practical conversation is also a key focus in these first weeks. I would recommend ordering the Netzwerk Neu A1 Kursbuch and Übungsbuch as they are essential to you success. As with anything you reap what you sow, so I highly recommend making every effort to get to each class and do the homework tasks. Overall I had a fantastic experience with language excellence, and recommend it to anyone in the are who is interested in learning German!

Sibylle is an absolutely fantastic teacher who is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in teaching the German language. As an advanced learner, Sibylle has been able to help me in reaching my language goals and I have improved immensely since learning with her. Sibylle’s lessons are always well prepared and she provides learning materials that are stimulating whilst challenging.
