Southern Home Improvements did a great job with our upper storey addition, they were helpful and listened to what we wanted, and thorough in the planning. The build itself only took 3 months, and it was very well run by the site foreman. We were able to live in our home throughout the build, and all the tradies were nice and polite. We love our new space upstairs and are very happy!

Although we haven't built with SHI yet we have been more than happy with the level of service Damian has provided. He is very professional and made us feel very comfortable knowing that we were getting professional service and quality build.

The quality of the build is great and everyone in your team did a fab job and were pleasant to deal with. We were particularly impressed by our Project Manager, Trent who kept us fully up to date and ensured things were being done in a proper and timely manner. From beginning to end, Southern Homes were amazing to deal with. We renovated (added bedroom) and remodelled (bath/en suite/kitchen) our house and could not have been happier with the advise, support and communication from the entire team. Trent, our supervisor was truly amazing throughout and after handover if we had any queries. Nothing was too hard.

SHI did a marvellous job on our extension and we were impressed with their attention to detail far beyond things we had thought of. 4 years later I am still recommending them to friends who want home extensions done. For price and quality I am sure we could not have done better.

Extremely UNsatisfactory. Had Damien Nygaard come to my house (3 hours) to see what I wanted done. Said he would get back to me the next week with some figures. After 3 weeks went by I telephoned SHI again and asked to speak with Damien. I was told he was not in the office that day. I explained what I was ringing for and the lady on the other end of the phone said that she would get Damien to call me back. That was 4 months ago and I'm still waiting to hear!!!!!!!

Excellent quality work to our upper story extension. A great bunch of tradies who are great at their job and the office staff are really helpful and easy to deal with. Southern homes attention to detail and to rectify any issues was outstanding. We love our new area and will be definitely recommending to anyone looking at doing an extension. Thank you

I started planning some improvements to my abode about 2 years ago and talked to a number of builders, even came up with some plans. I put it off because if I was going to spend my hard earned moolah I really wanted to feel I was getting something special and I just didn't feel it.I saw the pics on this site and eventually talked to Michael. Gee what a differrence. These people were thinking outside the box.The result is pretty damn good, the finish is very special. Love it when people actually think through the effect of every change. Very happy.

We wanted to add a second storey to our home. Had multiple builders come out and give us a quote. Southern Home Improvements were the only ones who sat down and consulted with us on the design without having to put pen to paper.The design and planning process was a lot easier than we anticipated and once the building started the contractors were great. Trent and his team were always contactable and kept us regularly updated on any changes or access requirements. They treated our home impeccably keeping it clean and tidy so it hardly felt like a construction site. The only issues we had were with a trade not supplied by Southern Home Improvements so I would strongly recommend using their recommendations for all trades and suppliers. Couldn’t be happier with the end result.
