Fun house Malatang

Had the spicy broth. Really awesome. They have a realy great range of ingredients to choose from and the staff are friendly. Would recommend for sure.

My food took 45 minutes to be cooked - and the restaurant wasn't even full. There were maybe some online orders, but if you are so far behind schedule, surely you need to tell customers before they pay.Before the meal arrived, I asked if I could take it away because I was out of time - and the auntie with the sour face complained that it was ready now and I should have told her sooner if I wanted takeaway.She then walked around the shop muttering that they were so busy so what could she do, and she made the friendly young guy behind the counter charge $1 for takeaway containers. The grumpy uncle joined in.That's when I decided I wouldn't pay even a cent extra for this bad attitude and terrible service - but the auntie was already putting the food in containers (I saw her use her hands on noodles at one point).To avoid an argument, the really helpful young worker paid the $1 on his own card before I could stop him. I felt so bad for him, especially having to work with people like that. I would not recommend this place.

Good Malatang soup with a reasonable selection of vegetables, meats, noodles and seafood for you to pick a d choose the amount you want.

I had the pork broth and it was delicious. The veggies were fresh and the meat/chicken were very tasty. The lady was very friendly and advising us to also try the fried (dry) noodles. It was a hit! My kids loved it. Overall i enjoyed my experience there. All i wanted: fresh warm and nutritious food in a friendly and clean restaurant. Will definitely go back again. Thanks

I ordered takeaway Malatang and it was not edible. There was a layer of old tomato sitting on the top and I had to scoop it off. When I was at the restaurant, all the ingredients had looked like it had been sitting there for a very old time. The mushrooms were bright yellow, meat was soggy, green vegetables were dark and not fresh. I brought it home, and there was an extremely bad strong smell which did not smell right. I am very disappointed as my partner also was unable to eat his food because it gave him a stomach ache

Not a very big fan of the Malatang places in Zetland. Every restaurant that we walked past lacked variety and freshness. This place looked the best out of all of the rest, so we went in here. The food seemed like it was sitting there for more than a day. The spinach was all wilted, and the Enochi mushrooms were all withered and dried. The meat was brown, and needed to be thrown away. The chives were all dried. The lady didn't speak any English, and seemed short of patience.I think this store gets most of its customers from online orders. I'd prefer to pick my own stuff.The noodles came out pretty quickly, and the soup was average.

Highly recommended! Ordered big bowl soup including range of meats and noodles. Fresh and delicious. It cost $28.98.

BAD attitude！Ingredients are not fresh，and taste pretty bad. I wouldn't had my lunch here if No.1 Malatang open today. (literally across street )Please avoid this restaurant.

Worst dry pot I ever experienced, it’s not even wok fried ,Lack of flavour and they didn’t even drained the water left in the container. Disgusting!

Honestly the best place ever!! We discovered this place last year and haven't stoped going here every week. We've tried most things on their menu and it is all so delicious! It is perfect place when you want a home cooked meal, but want someone else to make it. The portions are really big too. The staff are super friendly. I've taken many friends here too and they have all gone back on their own.
