Our Mothers' Day lunch for 3 adults and a toddler in the downstairs dining room was fantastic! Great service and amazing food in front of a cozy open fire. We will be back!

The staff were friendly. The food was pretty decent. The drinks were not made very well. Pretty pricey for what I was served. Give this place a 3.5/5.

Really top class service and food in an enjoyable atmosphere. We were made to feel very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed the curry. The flavours were so amazing and so we will definitely be back again for another dinner! Thanks!

Dinner downstairs is a stunning room and we cannot recommend highly enough - absolutely BEAUTIFUL FOOD, wish we could have stayed to go for dinner another night, but will DEFS be returning on our next visit to Beechworth. AMAZING SERVICE. AMAZING FOOD.

Had a wonderful plate of sides. When we ordered the seasonal veggies and the barkeep mentions “good choice”. How right was she. We also had the lamb and some chips. Really good and sitting next to a nice warm fire rounded it off.

The progressive pride flag attracted us to the hotel and initially we went in for a drink after a long day of sightseeing. We were immediately made to feel welcome and a drink led into a spectacular meal well beyond our expectation when we first noticed the hotel. Beechworth should be proud of this gem.

I recently visited the Empire Hotel in Beechworth with my two children, and I have to say we had an absolutely wonderful experience. We ordered the kid's burgers with chips and coconut prawns, and we were blown away by the quality and quantity of the food. The kid's burgers were huge and came with generous portions of fries, and the coconut prawns were cooked to perfection and full of flavor. The service at the Empire Hotel was also outstanding. The staff was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Overall, I would highly recommend the Empire Hotel to anyone looking for a delicious meal and exceptional service in Beechworth.In addition to the amazing food and excellent service, I also loved the cosy fire at the Empire Hotel. It created a warm and inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The toilets were also clean and hygienic, which is always a plus when dining out. Overall, the Empire Hotel in Beechworth exceeded our expectations in every way, and we can't wait to visit again soon. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone in the area looking for a great meal, cozy ambiance, and top-notch service.We will definitely be returning on our next visit!

Empire Hotel Beechworth
We had a tough time finding a place to eat in Beechworth, but ended up at the Empire and did not regret it one bit. We sat on the balcony and enjoyed the lovely summer evening sun and breeze over drinks and the small tapas style dishes we ordered.Staff were very friendly and helpful. We ordered the lamb dip, the prawns and the fried chicken and loved all three of those. All dishes were very tasty and definitely filling.Funnily enough we also ordered a side of chips which ended up being the most disappointing part of the meal since they were undercooked and soft. We did not really mind so much because they ended up just being more of a filler, the tapas did not leave much of a gap.

Visited there for a Sunday lunch with friends. The place was packed and took a while until we got our food served however the VERY friendly staff made every effort to make our waiting time as pleasant as possible.Food quality was very good too.

Sumptuous food, beautiful old building, the most warm and charming hosts and dog friendly!!! We absolutely loved everything on the menu - including a good range of vegetarian options!! The food was so delicious we went back again the very next night to try more dishes!!! All absolutely mouthwatering!!!The staff were very happy to accommodate our little greyhound. There is a beautiful enclosed balcony with a stunning view of sunset and inbuilt heaters. We were so warm on a cold wet May evening, we had to take off our jumpers. Just a superb experience all round. Cannot recommend highly enough!!
