Very well presented, road has been graded and potholes removed, for the moment. Lots of parking and camping spots. Committee of Management are doing a great job. Lake is currently full and overflowing.

Very popular place, two lots of toilet blocks. The amenities struggling to the number of people. Lake was very full, was great. Do suggest going in a self contained van.

Peaceful camping spot, great for swimming and boating. Toilets and showers but you need to take everything else. Ararat is very close by and handy if you need supplies.

Plenty of room for loads of people. Free toilets and hot showers. Bins scattered throughout the entire area. The lake would be great to kayak on. There's a 5k shared pathway into Ararat.

The good word about Green Hill Lake is already out, but let me add to the message. This is a free camper's delight, a photographers dream and a day tripper's perfect drop in spot. Brilliant local volunteers with occasional help from Hopkins Prison have dramatically improved amenities and surrounds. There is easy parking, many and varied campsites and kilometres of walking to be had. Bring a kayak or a tinnie and beat the pelicans (in season) or cormorants to the fish. Maybe you'll say g'day to a Brolga.

While we were in Ararat we took the opportunity to visit Green Hill Lake and fill in some time. It is an obviously popular spot for caravanners, campers, water sports and people like us who were looking for a nice peaceful spot to whittle away a little time after being on the road.Yes, despite some water skiing, the lake was still a peaceful, calm and enjoyable spot to kick back and enjoy the fresh air with ample shady spots, sunny seats and places to walk.
