What a great lake,unfortunately the water board are only interested in draining it to satisfy Horsham. If they maitained the water level it would create a lot of tourism and bring a lot more life around the lake.

Lakes full water lots wind in the evening hot during day in summer. Quite camp spot and bit of shade pretty darn good free camping.

Good place to take the dogs for a swim being just outside the national park area. Enough waterside access for you to find your own stretch of beach. Some of the banks are quite muddy.

Lovely lake to go and spend some some time with friends and family there are two boat ramps and plenty of open camping sites (book through parks) driving distance to stawell and the grampians would make a perfect place to make your base camp for exploring the area
