It's possible to walk a circuit around the full lagoon, and it's well worth doing. Some interesting bird life, beautiful and varied vistas as you make your way around, well maintained walking tracks - all in all it was a terrific place to walk. If you want a longer walk you can even head back along the trail alongside the canal, and check out the Portland Botanical Gardens at the other end. (Also worth visiting.) I have a range of photos up on the Friendly Society Reserve too, which may give a more extensive idea of the full circuit.
