Half Moon Bay
Nice place for a evening sunset outing by the beach. A small walk to pier with the Crescent shaped beach view was awesome. If lucky can go for fishing as well by the pier for a fresh catch.

Half Moon Bay
Nice little spot. Great views and water is really clear. Pretty busy on hot days. Best to get there and claim a spot on the sand early.

Half Moon Bay
Great place to enjoy an evening walk or to have a small picnic on the rocks watching the sunset. Sunsets are truly bewitching here! If you wish, you can take a walk to the pier and go to the cafe. Toilet and parking are available.

Here is my abbreviated TripAdvisor review of Half Moon Bay Victoria. It is a stunning bay / beach. It has exceptional rock formations and cliffs, interesting walking paths and has works from the Bayside Artists Trail - see separate review. It is part of the suburb Black Rock and houses their Yacht Club, a pier, some restaurants, beach huts and the remains of the Cerberus, a historic shipwreck. There are a few carparks to choose from al with app or credit card access. When I was there some models were doing a photo shoot along the rocks which were a great contrast to their clothes. Grab some fish and chips and eat along the water break near the pier, just like I saw some tourists do. It is such a sheltered inlet that it is popular with families with little children and the locals. It is worth spending at least an hour walking around here and viewing all there is to see. Don't forget your camera!

Half Moon Bay is a beautiful beach located in Black Rock, around 22kms south east of Mebourne's CBD and an Iconic Australian Beach in Melbourne. I love the coastal walk from Sandringham to Half Moon Bay! That's what I did. It's a a gorgeous 25-30 minute walk each way, passing a number of quiet beaches and taking in breathtaking ocean views. As you get closer to Half Moon Bay, there's also the spectacular Red Bluff Cliffs, you could be forgiven for thinking that you were in Europe somewhere . The Edward Street Beach ramp is the last turn off before you head over the Red Bluff lookout and towards Half Moon Bay. You could go down to the beach and climb over the rocks at Red Bluff instead, but I usually go over the top to take in the view and then return via the beach instead. Climbing over the rocks, you will discover two very small hidden bays that sit directly beneath the red cliff-face. It feels secluded and a million miles away - you really could be anywhere. You head over to the second little beach, just to make sure it's far enough from all the noise and activity of Half Moon Bay.

Half Moon Bay
It’s a small bay yet very beautiful surrounded by various rock formations. It is a family friendly beach and can get crowded. Easy access to public toilets, pier, some food joints, beach huts, walking tracks, boat ramp and Shipwreck. Parking is a hassle but once the engine is off it’s all worth it. It is possible a hidden rock under the sand or in the water can take off a nail so be careful. What I most enjoyed is the sunset. It’s pretty magical. Overall a great place that I will continue visiting.Find me @volarphotography
