Albert Park Lake
I rarely come to Albert Park Lake and I don't know why as it is such a lovely place to come for a stroll, looking at the beautiful water views and lovely palm trees. I was actually here today for MS Walk, Run and Roll. I did the 10k Walk and could have done without the drizzle! But great event for a great cause in a great location. Will definitely do event next year but won't wait 12 months before I return to Albert Park Lake.

There's always people here exercising or just having a coffee from the cafe. There's a pretty large lake to walk around and enjoy nature. Baby birds are aplenty this time of year and they don't mind people getting close. The yachting club looks like fun, I went about 10 years ago when working in disability and they had assistance equipment for the disabled. Pretty sure they still would. There's a a play ground for the kids and free parking on Albert Rd on Sundays.

Only 3km from the heart of the city, Albert Park is popular for a range of activities like dog walking, jogging, cycling, sailing and rowing.Apart from the lake itself, other attractions include sporting facilities, ovals, playgrounds, restaurants and a 5km walking and running track. Sporting facilities include a golf driving range, gymnasium and the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre.Enjoy a barbecue or picnic with the family. Hire a boat and explore the lake. Walk, cycle or jog around the track, past green lawns and playing fields.

Feel grateful everyday to call Albert Park home! Absolutely love this place! So beautiful and peaceful, the gorgeous swans make me smile every time, there are hundreds of them around the grass and water and they are gorgeous. There are also water fountains around to fill up water bottles. Toilets are spread out, but they are also there. If you're lucky you might come through some sports event during the walk around, and even some hot dogs during some sort of sports fund raising. Then of course, there is the uber exciting Grand Prix! Went for the first time last year, and loved every moment of it! So much fan, super happy vibes, pretty crowded but is the happiest crowd. The happy vibes are all around the neighborhoods. It adds up to the excitement to watch them building all stands etc during the months approaching the grand prix. Kudos to all the people working building all of it to make the magic happen. :)

I've walked regularly for a very long while but it took me years to get around to Albert Park Lake. I suppose I worried that parking would be a challenge. I needn't have worried about that. If you drive around on Lakeside Drive, there is plenty of paid parking. On weekends it's a cheap, flat rate. Easy peasy. The walk is just under 5km, paths are in good condition, it's level (I'd say accessible) and is a beautiful walk. Why did I wait so long? There are toilets at a couple of points, playgrounds here and there (though they're nothing special), picnic areas and regular benches if you fancy a sit. You can fish (it gets stocked) or canoe/row/kayak. So glad I finally got around to it!

beautiful view and a pleasant yet slow scenic tour around park driving qt 40km, which is essential because there are always plenty of swans with their young strolling over the roads! nice walk path around the lake with multiple ovals, children's playgrounds and the aquatic pool building!

Albert Park lake is a man-made lake close to the city of Melbourne. It’s a 5 km loop lined by trees and the beautiful city skyline. It is also home to the Australian formula 1 Grand Prix every year. Lots of Black swans, ducks and seagulls around. Great place to watch sunsets and sunrises or run or walk your dog.

Such a lovely trail with a pretty lake view. I like to come here during my work break and it makes me feel so at peace. There are a few benches dotted around the trail if you want to just sit, relax and enjoy the view.
