Loved it..... pays to get there early if you want front row parking and secure a spot close to the water.Look my son there to learn how to stand up paddle board for the 1st time..... he loved it

A beautiful vulcanic lake with a number of swimming spots and sheltered barbecues. The lake itself is great for snorkeling as well. We spotted a number of jungle perch, other small fish and turtles. There is a sign warning of a timid fresh water crocodile who apparently lives in the lake but we didn't see any sign of him.

Definitely worth the drive if you’re in the area. Nice picnic areas and tables. Heaps of fish, turtles and bird life. Resident freshwater croc - but not to worry.Check out more at:@ultimateaussiebucketlist (insta, FB, web)

Beautiful lake and generally good path to walk on. You can’t see much of the lake whilst walking. A couple of quite dangerous bits of metal poking up in the path to watch out for. Also a shame the signs have been damaged by some people as they’re really insightful and interesting.

Magic spot. Great walks and wildlife. Families enjoying the space. Bbqs and picnic tables around the main area. Wish i went for a swim!

Absolutely beautiful lake! If you’re not planning to swim; float or paddle then there isn’t anything else for you here. The water is pretty cool too.

I visit here several times per year. Nice for a swim or scuba in the lake, walk around the lake to see some amazing trees. Picknick at the free BBQ's just make sure the scrub turkeys don't take off with your food.

Absolutely stunning. The lake is absolutely beautiful and great for swimming so be sure to bring togs. There are signs saying there is a crocodile but I didn't see it when I went. There's a lovely 3km walk you can do around the lake. It's fairly flat, great for all fitness levels. The path is well defined and well maintained, and signage is excellent. The toilet facilities are well maintained, and there are plenty of picnic spots. Make sure to take your trash with you as there are no bins. this is a great place to bring family , friends and kids. I've seen people bring pool noodles to the lake!!

Beautiful lake with clear water and two stepped entries for children or less confident swimmers. These two areas have shallow banks which stretch out for a few metres into the lake before dropping off into deeper water. There is also a pontoon which people can swim around. We saw people kayaking and stand up paddle boarding on the lake. There is also a circuit bush walking track if you want to stretch your legs. Can get busy in the height of summer and parking can be difficult.
