Lake Dyer

Great site. Has bbq's you can use and can setup for the day along the water.... If you don't have something to be out of the sun there are sheltered areas which can be used..... Not a lot of parking but you can find spots.... Maybe some fish but not sure.

Relaxing and silent location. Painters would love to be there. You will not be able to access the lake since it has closed due to algae spread. However it won't restrict the beauty of the location. There are several BBQ stoves and benches. Also a play area for kids. Toilets were well maintained and cleaned, can gives 10 out of 10. Also there are enough parking space for everyone.

Hidden gem !Just stopped here on the way down from Toowoomba. Been heavy to steady rain the whole day . I decided to have a break here . As I approached Lake Dyer - miraculously a gap opened in the thick clouds above and gave sunshine which was rare for the last week . The clouds are closing over telling me to continue my journey . I was meant to stop here and was visited by friendly birds briefly but politely looking for a feed which was not coming. So they quickly scooted off . Which I reluctantly must do now . Even the kayakers are getting off the lake, calling it a daySitting in one of the shelters here . Feeling a cool breeze . Watching a two separate kayakers whom looks to be fishing on the lake 2 to 300 metres apart . Only 2 people fishing from the shore . Only 6 caravans here , with with of course space for dozens more . Never seen it have more than this number . Deserves more custom . Well kept and neat . Over looking charming little lake for dam . Lake = 500m wide .Great clean amenities . Toilets and campers showers / laundry . 5 minute drive to Laidley which has supermarkets and pubs ....etc .Some kids playing . Only occasionally heard . Interspered by bird sounds . Quite serene here , despite it being school holidays .About 9 double tabled picnic shelters / rotundas . One large 4 table rotunda . I am the only person under a rotunda / picnic shelter at the moment . Come here for some peace folks .All breezy and srene ....

Great place. Good boat ramp. Camping is available. Able to bring man’s best friends they just can’t go into the water. They have bbq available or you can bring your own there are toilet and kids playground.The only down side is the toilet were very dirty because of someone leaving rubbish and trashing them. I can’t blame the caretaker for some low life.Laidley is only a few minutes drive in case you have forgotten anything

Nice relaxing spot. Good amenities and very accommodating park owners. Pity about the ignorant caravaners that refused to abide by the dogs to be kept on leash rule though. Not impressed roaming dogs allowed to poop wherever they wanted without their owners giving a damn about it!!

In summer season it pays you to check the water level if you are planning to ski or bosting.. as it can be very low and won't even be able to launch the tinny. Camping is ok not very fantastic but can be a quiet place to relax and read a book.

Nice lake perfect for a family picnic with swings for kids

Not very clean. Bring table cloths and toilet paper.

Great place to stay, Quiet, Clean showers, toilets, friendly staff go out of their way to help with anything. Definitely going back !!
