The sort of fish and chip shop you remember. Excellent choice of food, and friendly staff. Food was excellent. Great serves of chips. Burgers were awesome. And fish. Centrally located and good outside seating if you want to eat there. Very efficient.

Lovely fish and chips. One of the best crumbed fish and calamari. Batter is light and crispy. Chips are not the best quality though.Great location just next to John Wright Park where Tuncurry Saturday market is. If you are not a local, it might be hard to know where it is. Only two minutes walk out of the park.After 22 years in deep frying business, the owner wants to have a rest. Hope the new owner can make the fish as nice as him.

FANTASTIC! the new owners have really improved this business. 2023 will bring a great reputation for this shop. The new signage is perfect. Name is so much better than the previous (swirling coconut sounded like a draining toilet). Wonderful staff and perfectly cooked food. Good going guys!

Salt by the Sea
Tried this for the first time tonight. Throughly enjoyed it. Chips were delicious, scallops were on point, and you could tell that they drained the oil. Which seems to be a problem with most of the other shops here in town. It also meant my family and I weren’t gonna be sick because of it. Got greeted by one the staff members who was really nice, and the girl that served me was polite. I’d recommend getting your munch here. Even if you live on the other side of the bridge like I do. ✌️

Had burgers and chips from you last night and they were yummy!! My husband said the only thing he wished for was that the burger buns were toasted. Nice clean shop, great service, will definitely be back!

Our weekly meal run of battered fish & chips, yummy.I cannot be wrong, its starting to get busy now at meal time, but they're fast at delivering the food, keep up the great work guys.

Can thoroughly recommend Salt by the Sea. Being locals, it’s a convenient location & the food we have enjoyed has always been perfectly cooked, fresh, tasty & reasonably priced. We especially love their calamari & it’s always a pleasure to be served with a friendly smile. Well done by everyone involved & we wish them every success in the future.
