Stumers Sewing Centre

I have been visiting this quilt shop for a number of years, always helpful staff and I love my Pfaff machine I bought there this year. Latest visit was today and was so pleased with my fabulous fabric I purchased there. Thankyou Ken and staff. Always a pleasure to visit your quilt shop!

I recently had a 2 day workshop with Lillian who showed us tips on how to make a tote bag. I enjoyed the lessons and the sewing tips we received. Great selection of fabrics, sewing gadgets and sewing machines also. If anyone has a sewing problem I'm sure these ladies will know the answer.

Prices were a bit steep,customer service was fantastic they also have a great range if sewing machines

Have purchased an overlocker and sewing machine at Stumers, as well as having a really old machine looked at.After buying my overlocker I had my free class showing all it can do etc which was very helpful as a beginner sewer. When I went in to buy my sewing machine I was shown what they do and the lady took time to ask about my interests and needs to help narrow down the choices. Once I have a play with the new machine I will go for the free class also included. I was also offered if I had any questions I can jump on the phone or go in for help.Prices and range of machines, fabrics and accessories are competitive and class opportunities to meet different interests.Great to go to a personal small business with so many years behind them, and get great service, rather than huge places where you feel like just a number.Will keep going back. I have had my Pfaff serviced at this store twice now in the last couple of years. Always happy. Had it serviced closer to home earlier this year. Poor outcome and on return they could not identify the issues. Ken did and while it cost me another service, it was worth it.

Great place, friendly people always helpful and lots of knowledge.

I went in today to have a look at a new sewing machine, I was greeted by a lovely lady who took so much time to demonstrate different models. Their was no push selling or only showing the most expensive just based on what information I had given, I was then showen what would benifit me.I was also greeted by a smile and hello from the owner and another employee asking me how are you . It was such a pleasure to come into this store everyone is lovely and helpful. Prices a good and quality of items are great aswell. I've found my new shop for my sewing needs.

The service on my sewing machine was great. I didn’t realise how much I had missed being able to use the needle threader. The machine runs beautifully again now. Thank you Ken!

Went in today and was ignored by the two older women behind the counter who were more interested in gossiping about others family issues than offering assistance. One was hand sewing something so I suppose that could be used as an excuse not to offer any assistance. It would have been nice to at least been LOOKED AT as we came in, not totally ignored. Done your dash with me now. This is the second time this has happened in six months. Either these two are just employees (and none too good at that) or if one was an owner, then the business must be thriving not to offer great service to ensure return custom .... or is that an outdated business model? Bet if I had headed to the machines I would have got a response! I had wanted to purchase new fabric scissors, cutter blades, needles and enough fabric for a king single quilt. Never mind. I went to East Coast Fabrics where the younger staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful! I know where my recommendations will lay from now on and it won't be with Stumers!

They spent time with me despite my machine being from elsewhere. Found a solution to my issues. Were friendly and polite. Had fantastic stock. Love it here.
