Excellent instructor. Fred was very patient, encouraging and good at explaining the road rules and letting me of the mistakes I made. During the exam Fred made me feel calm and confident and I am glad to say I passed my exam on the first try.

Fred was the most knowledgeable instructor I ever had. He knew everything about the road rules and give way rules and would sometimes test you to make sure you also know them. Fred doesn’t only teach you to pass the test. He teaches you to become a safe, confident and responsible driver on the road. He taught me tips and tricks for using mirrors; how to reverse parallel park, angle park, and forward park. He has a little system where he records your progress on his chart and tells you the areas you need to work on. He cares about his learners very much and wants them to succeed. I passed my driving test first attempt by applying all of the things he taught me and I will continue to apply them as a driver. Highly recommend.

Just passed my driving test thanks to Fred!!I was lucky enough to have Fred as my instructor, he was so pleasant, patient and knowledgeable about all things driving/cars/tips & tricks to park, etc. Loved our chats on our drives and felt much more confident and competent as a driver thanks to his guidance. Had a practice drive with Fred. It was informative and helpful. He shared some tips which even experienced drivers would find useful. Unfortunately due to a medical situation he wasn’t available on my test date but did follow ups to make sure I had passed.

The best experience ever! Fred from Carmel Driving School is a fantastic instructor, who taught me everything I needed to know about driving safely and confidently. What I really enjoyed learning was his focus on my timely response to signs, traffic, and hazards as well as how to make the best decision in less common driving situations.

I was almost new to driving and very nervous, Fred helped and motivated me and guess what? I passed my exam on first attempt. I could not believe it how it all happened. He is a professional, friendly and patient instructor. He is also very honest and down to earth person.
