Canine Heroes Dog Training

We are very grateful to Tahlia and her expertise. In just a few sessions we saw a significant improvement in our dog's responsiveness and obedience.

Tahlia at Canine Heroes has helped my partner and I better understand our dog, Gomez. We have utilised her board and train, walk and train, crate training and at home training, all have been extremely valuable. Within 3 months there were extremely positive changes in my anxious reactive dog and his adjustment to having a baby in the house. It has been over 12 months and we still use her services, my dog is a whole new dog. I strongly recommend her board and train for anyone with a dog that needs fast tracked training. I have a rescue rotti [Sully 50kg], that has/had high reactivity to other dogs. Canine Heroes came recommended to me and i am so grateful for that referral. Sully now, with Tahlia's teaching [teaching me that is more than Sully] walks well on lead, stops, leaves and good recall. Her reactivity is significantly reduced - i'm not scared to walk her and have so much more confidence in handling her. I'm no longer being dragged and pulled. We are a work in progress and each month i notice some new improvement. The process is not punitive and has helped me understand what is going on for Sully with corrections that are gentle and effective. THANK YOU Tahlia!!!!

From the first meeting with Canine Heroes our relationship with Holly changed for the better. Tahlia was Holly’s best friend and taught us not only training drills & techniques, but boundaries and communication for ourselves. We now have a dog that we can walk confidently off-lead, who listens to us and constantly wants to be in our presence... Sometimes too much!Completely different from the aloof, tearaway we adopted! Amazing work Tahlia!

Tahlia walks both of my dogs, one of which is dog reactive, she is a talented and confident dog trainer who can handle our reactive dog. He is really showing consistent improvement since he has been walking with Tahlia. She is a great communicator, willing to continue your style of training and has been such a valuable find to help with the challenging task of rehabilitating our fearful dog. Both dogs absolutely love their time with her, I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone who needs help with their dog training.

Tahlia was great to work with and very patient with our energetic and very easily stimulated 18month old puppy. She helped us set boundaries and get into a routine that we could all follow. From not being able to safely walk him at all when we started we are now able to confidently walk on the lead and enjoy play time. She was very easy to work with and a great communicator without judgement.

We did Little Canine Heroes for our bull arab x puppy. Tahlia is an incredible trainer who clearly knows dogs and we got so much out of the lessons. Her classes are based on building confidence and learning how to advocate for your puppy, rather than learning tricks. We got so much out of it and picked up training techniques that have proven highly effective. Plus the lessons were super fun (we particularly enjoyed the dress-up and excursion).
