Stopped in for dinner. With only steak, fish and chips, deep fried seafood basket ,garlic prawns or chicken ( schnitzel or parmy) on the menu, it was a shame they were out of chicken and prawns.It didn't seem busy and staff were sleepy. Been there twice.....first and last time.

Been here before, was really good then. My last visit was ok, but, nothing to write home about. Food was good and great value, but, very limited menu. Nothing vegetarian. Staff are very helpful. Only three stars as it does seem to have slipped since I was last there. A little work on the menu and it will easily get four stars.

We were here last year and enjoyed the best crab sandwich and a Guinness.Booked into the caravan park next door and straight over to the pub for a repeat performance ..... not to be. The sum total of the lunch menu was a cheese and ham toastie with or without pickles! Wow even with a full caravan park next door full of hungry punters that's the best they can do?We were told the pub was recently bought over by a new owner who's not all that interested.(might as well sell it on to someone who is)Not surprisingly we were the only two customers and not even a GuinnessThe stars are for the young lady behind the bar.

This place has the best manager churchy. Also, Gemma and Ari the bartenders make the experience so much better. They do pizzas Thursday and Sundays and they're the best I've had in Queensland!!! You might be waiting a little but it's worth it. Give them a break as they're is only two people in the restaurant trying their hardest. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Staff were lovely and the setting is quite nice. The fish with the fish and chips was one of those frozen battered fish fillets you buy at the supermarket, which was disappointing. In saying that, the lunch special was $10, so I suppose it was reasonable given the cheap price. My partner enjoyed his steak sandwich.

JUST off the highway, blink and you'll miss it. A great spot to stop and stretch you legs, grab a coldy and sit on the covered verandah to watch the traffic pass you by. Wander around inside and soak up the nostalgia of a typical old country water hole. Renervations currently underway in the kitchen and the upstairs accommodation. Well worth the stop.

Had to give this one a one star review as the heavy handed policing of masks etc was over the top. A country pub with a barrier across the entrance reminds me of the SS asking for papers. Highway Patrol constantly parked out front doesn't help. No atmosphere at all. May as well close another pub due to the hoax

This place is great. The staff are friendly and my meal was very large, a good price and top quality, the salad bar topped it off . Such a great country pub! Highly recommended!

2nd time in a few months I came up from Nsw, stopped in to the pub, couldn’t get a meal. I grew up in cairns used to come here all the time. Probably won’t stop through again. Too inconsistent since the new owners took over.
