Authentic, generous and very tasty. Huge rolls are a meal. Best Japanese food we've found in Queensland. Worth the drive! (just needs more payment options, don't forget to take cash.)

Located off the side of Captain Cook Drive the katsu curry and gyoza here are as good as Japan!

We ordered some food yesterday, very close to closing time the wonderful staff were happy to cook us up a delicious meal. This could be handsdown the best Japanese cuisine I’ve ever had the chicken was delicious.

Sooooo crazy good. Every single ingredient is super fresh, evident by the taste. Absolutely delicious. Variety on the menu too, couldn't recommend more. Marked difference between 1770 Japanese and other sushi options in town. Probably best sushi I've ever had anywhere. Crazy good, especially for a one man band. Such a talent!

Wow! I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Best chicken karage we have ever had, sushi was fresh and delicious! We are heading back again today for round 2!

The freshest and tastiest sushi we have ever had. Gyozas were divine also. Everything is made fresh in front of you. We will certainly be back to try more items on the menu.

Spoke with the owner and told him about the unreal Katsu I had in Niseko, he told me his would be as good or better. It was, we had a variety of food from here and all of it was as good or the best Japanese we have ever had. This food is worth the trip to 1770!!!!

Easily one of the best Sushi dishes I have ever tried. I went back twice while on my holiday and will miss this place when I go home!
