Really good food and a shaded setting for friends and family. The stuffed Buffalo and crocodile is a conversation starter and worth a look. Adelaide River is THE spot to rest and recover.

Yea it's a country pub, however it has one of the most awesome beer gardens you can wish for for a cool drink. And let's face it you're going to stop for fuel anyway. And the pub is next door... Prices are reasonable, they have entertainment from time to time most nights during tourist season. And cabins if you please. I'm interested to know what the barman tells you when you ask why its was named the .303 bar, I'm pretty sure it's a different story from what I was told 30 years ago when I first went there.

A friend of mine had told me to stop at the 303 on the way to Darwin, he highly recommended the Baramundi claiming it was the best in the NT. Now I haven't eaten every baramundi in the NT but I can say its pretty good. We pulled in on a hot, late afternoon for lunch and a drink. The location is easy to get to and once you are past the car park and into the pub grounds its very picturesque. The staff are friendly and the food is presented hot and fast. The outdoor eating area (as big as the indoor) is fantastic and I could see this being a great way to wile away an afternoon. If we ever travel up this way again we will definitely stop in at the 303. I even bought some touristy gifts at the gift shop!

Don’t ask to buy tonic by the bottle, they will try and rob you. Food was good, we had the roast, plenty of places to sit and a short walk back to your van, large camp fire

This was a great place to stop and have a delicious chicken parmigiana and a cold shandy in the lovely gardens. Best I've had. Well worth a visit for the history of the area too.
