The staff were genuinely lovely, and they created a great atmosphere, however there was a lot of staining from the dye (it is a dark colour). I wasn’t too worried about the staining on my forehead as it was minimal and I knew another shampoo would clear it. However at the back there was A LOT of staining that I couldn’t see. I was more bummed that they let me walk out thinking i was the next juilia roberts while I was sporting a massive black stain on the back of my neck.

I have been coming here for about 3 years now and have been quite satisfied. However, last visit I did not get my usual stylist, the colour is all wrong, I can't see any of the foils she put in, and halfway through she had to go home. Enter my usual stylist, who finished my hair off for me, but I am hating the colour, it is not what I usually have, and to top it all off they no longer make you a cup of tea. I think for what you pay, you should walk out happy, not trying to figure out a way to fix it. I was attending a wedding next day, so had to deal with it, but I don't think I will go back. Sorry Lily, you are a brilliant hairdresser, but the salon needs a shake up, the two manageresses need to learn how to smile, not look so unhappy.

I had a great experience having my hair washed and curled, everyone was very friendly and the style lasted for days. Thank you Jacque

No response from owners or managers in regards to having hair done by there staff completely opposite to what I asked for. I went in and got a whole head of blonde foils like I do everytime i go anywhere to have hair done, with 3 blonde to 1 colour they messed up and washed the colour out with the blonde turned my hair red so then toned it nearly black not 1 foil to be seen. Then still charged me full price and blamed me I was in tears so much I just paid once I calmed down I realised I shouldn't have paid my hair was meant to be lighter then when I walked in and instead it's darker.BTW this was done at the koogaas hair salon which shares the same staff and owners in the same center at runaway bay.

This salon is so worth going to. The lovely young lady Brittany who perfectly dealt to my greys, hairstyle and half head of foils I needed to blend with my older foils. Extremely happy with the whole experience and outcome. Thank you Brittany at Illusion Hair Salon, Runaway Bay

What a lovely surprise. I just walked in to have my hair washed and blow dried as I’ve had an ear infection and couldn’t get my ear wet. Was attended to by Brittany and Jess, truly the two loveliest girls I’ve ever met. Not only were they friendly and welcoming, they did a great job. Went in for something quite ordinary and had an extraordinarily pleasant experience! Thanks ladies, you really made my day.

What more can I say....I am just left speechless!What a beautiful experience today, Jessie you are truly the best. You genuinely listened and delivered with your expertise which shone through.The whole team are just lovely.

I had my hair cut/styled/shaped here today and I love it! The lady who did my hair absolutely nailed it with adding new layers to my very long hair and also shaped around my face. Very happy!

Don’t know how there are 5 stars. My first visit paid $140, my second $160 then third $208 saying a toner and some conditioning treatment was used but was never consulted. For a cut and two tone colour. After my second visit blonde turned yellow and the stylist took responsibility and charged a ludicrous amount on the third visit. Short hair too. The the hairdresser let me walk out without any product or final styling. Will never return!
