Newcastle Entertainment Centre

It's basically a tin shed. Needs upgrading. Seating very uncomfortable and narrow for a two hours concert if you even slightly bigger than an average body. Air Con didn't work that well, huge lines for catering and takes up to an hour to get out of the car park afterwards. Not ideal.

Bring something soft to sit on, as the seats are solid and uncomfortable for seniors. Also a warm coat as the air conditioning is very efficient. I could not leave the grounds to fetch my coat from the car as their is no pass outs. My teeth were chattering after the six hour show had concluded.

Michael Buble. Great concert. Seats were very small and close together, and the aircon did not seem to be working. But Buble made up for it.

After not being there for years, I have recently attended 2 events here and was disgusted that this is what Newcastle has to offer as a venue for overseas entertainers.The seats are incredibly squashed together so at the first event my arm was rubbing against a guy’s gut and I was elbowed every time he moved. I couldn’t even move my legs to put my jacket or drinks down. Then at the event last night, our seats located on the corner (aisle 21 row P) but the actual seats are positioned to look straight ahead, so you’ve got everyone in the row turning their bodies to see the stage. My husband and myself were so uncomfortable and the people around us were all complaining too. You cannot charge $140 per ticket and not give people a comfortable seat that doesn’t even face the stage!Straight ahead of us there were railings held together with cable ties! How is this even safe?!The food and drinks are unbelievably expensive, the popcorn was inedible. We won’t be back. We will go to Sydney!

Had the most amazing time seeing Michael McIntyre. So funny, if you get the chance it's well worth it.

Great place for a concert, good nice and fresh, reasonable price, venue clean and tidy, only downfall which was a major it took 45 mins to try and drive out. Needs better organisation.
