I consider myself to be quite the harsh critic when it comes to restaurants and the experience I had at this restaurant was unfaultable. Atmosphere was calm and not too loud, staff were friendly and nice, service was quick and professional. For our meals we ordered the set menu/banquet and the food was superb. I enjoyed the variety of trying some new foods but also having some more familiar foods. Favourite entree would have to be the soft shell crab bao, sweet but balanced perfectly with the creamy coleslaw. Favourite main was definitely the massaman curry, so flavourful and the beef brisket just fell apart in my mouth, couldnt get enough of this dish. For dessert we had the white chocolate pandan cheesecake which perfectly finished up our meal, light and creamy with a nice balance of crunchy granola. Would highly recommend this place.Feedback: The only thing that I believe would bring the service that extra notch higher is to have one person serve us through the whole evening instead of 4, just to build up rapport between the waiter and those dining in, and this is if I'm being real nit picky. Other than that my experience was exceptional, thank you

Amazing place in the heart of Seddon. The food was superb quality and service was great.We had the Massman curry, Beef Cheek and the drunken chicken with pandan cheesecake and apple crumble for dessert.The curry's were amazing the beef was soft and flavourful. The desserts were good as well however the Pandan cheesecake didn't really have pandan in it. I would definitely rate the apple crumble with the ice cream better. Overall food and the Apple crumble are 10/10

We really liked the cosy as well as romantic atmosphere and the service of Luxsmith. Because we arrived a bit too early the waiter recommended us to drink an aperitif in the associated bar next doors. The same really kind and attentive waiter also helped us to choose the perfect meal for us. We had three starters and one main to share - the perfect amount of food and drinks for 2 guests. The interior is modern and the candles all over the restaurant created a calm and homey venue. We enjoyed our dinner to the fullest - thank you.

Walked in spare on moment hungry after walking the strip looking for a venue where we didn’t have to sit outside. we ordered Kingfish, Fat Rice Noodles/duck, lamb shoulder curry and Cashew Cucumber salad. Everything was perfectly presented and tasted great. The Curry was my pick of the night but thats really splitting hairs. highly recommended. It was pretty busy yet we mentioned we didn’t want linger and send everything out as it was made - we were in and out in 35mins. Top work chef!

I’ve recommended Luxsmith to everyday I know, even to fb friends interstate visiting for the weekend.It’s fabulous, staff are supper friendly and welcoming and the food is spot on, you can’t fault it.The last time I visited was for The Melbourne Food and Wine Festival - West side crawl!Wish it was closer to home so i can call it my local.

We were both looking forward to having dinner locally, took the chance and came away dissappointed.Charred calamari = no charr , good greens and sauce, spot the calamari. Though tasty dressing.Flat iron steak = ok flavour, though no sauce?? Had to order separate sides, portion was tiny to say the least. (Had yo hold back laughter)Side rice = blandSide greens = drowned soy sauceTwice cooked pork belly = spot the pork belly, portion tiny, flavour ok. (Dissappeared in 2 spoonfuls, not suitable for main size)Tiramisu = powederd coffee. Tiny portion.Over priced suited for Toorak, not Seddon.Trying to be fine dining with long board tables and wooden flimsy chairs.Not even worth taking pictures.Mocktail was perfectly prized, decent flavour. Wines wont even worth trying.1st and last vist.

Fabulous food - great portions. Drunken chicken and pork belly with squid & XO sauce absolute highlights. Service was spot on - the right balance of authentic connection and swift service - allowing time to understand the menu, still serve the drinks whilst choosing and pacing how and when the meal arrived.

Visited Luxsmith for the first time on a very busy Saturday night. Very warmly greeted by staff and the fantastic service continued throughout our sitting. We knew we had our table for 90 minutes but not once did we feel rushed or pressured to hurry up. The lovely lady looking after our table was even so considerate enough to check in with us and ask if we wanted a break for our next course or if we’re happy for food to continue quickly. Its not often you are asked that by staff in restaurants so we appreciated the chance for an extra break to let our entrees settle. The food was so tasty and full of so much flavour. Highlights were the sashimi, calamari, duck noodles and the steak. Thank you for the lovely experience at your restaurant - will definitely be back for more.
